RPG Maker Series

Bu†cH

Braaiiiiiinss......
Here we discuss about anything about the epic RPG Maker series, from the first one to the latest.

But I have two questions first.

1. Is RPG Maker 3 worth $50? I saw a review from a member of another forum site, and he said to get it. But the crits from the game sites are giving it a low rating (6.5-7.0), maybe it's all because of the graphics or something.

2. What's the best RPG Maker to get for the PS2/PS1?

1) I haven't tried it, but I'd rent it if possible

2) I'd get RPG Maker 1. It's simple and the characters aren't that poorly made. Unlike RPG Maker 2. In RM1, the characters look cool and there's enough to make a good RPG, the graphics aren't the best, but it could be made into something you like. However this takes up a LOT of space. It won't at first, but, depending on how long your game will be, it will. Oh, and there's Anime Maker to make your own characters, if you're good at that kind of thing, that is.

Now as for RM2, it takes up a big amount of space, but not as much as RM1 would. the Characters aren't the greatest, but they'll do. They have some premade things already, but start at normal so you get the feel of what's going on and test out a premade map to see what your characters can do. I haven't played it much (As I'm in the process of making a game on RM1) but I wouldn't get RM2 just yet

That's just me, however. So RM1 will be better
