Emerald:

You can get Kyogre&Groudon;

You get Rayquaza... Before the league.

You can get one of the three second gen. Starters.

You can get all the Johto Pokémon that weren't in Fire-Red/Leaf-Green.

You can catch... Mew! As well as Ho-oh, Lugia and Deoxys, but you need either Action replay warp code (my case) or Nintendo events.

You access the Battle frontier, where you can get decorations for your secret base, ones that you couldn't get in R/S!

And the best of all... There is no Berry Glitch! ("The internal battery has run dry, The game can be played. However, time-based events will no longer occur.")

Definitely get Emerald, it has more cool stuff than Ruby and Sapphire.

Emerald - because it has a better storyline, the pokemon move like they do in Crystal when you meet them in battle and there more places to battle.

Okay, this is getting old. I think everyone knows by now that Emerald is the best one and all the reasons have been said. There's no point in posting anymore. Let's make a tiny list of the biggest differences between Ru/Sa and Emerald. These are the things Emerald has got and Ru/Sa hasn't got.

- Battle Frontier
- A choice between Latios and Latias
- You get both Kyogre and Groudon
- The storyline is longer and better
- Some Johto-Pokémon
- The champion is different
- More double battles
- You can often choose between double battle and single battle
- There's only one contest hall, all the others have been replaced with battle tents
- The Pokémon have animations
- Some Pokémon's locations have been changed
- The main characters have much green in their outfits

No need to add more things to this, they all have been written in this thread, at least most of them.
