Ruido Pokémon

These are my sprites for the Pokémon of my region Ruido. It is featured in my former Fan-fic "Haito Adventures" and my upcoming remake, "Legacy of Fate"
All of these Pokémon are of my creation and were made by me, with the exception of shading, I kinda suck at it, so I've received help from my friend Chibi Pika.

(Note: All starters in my region have alternate 2nd stage Evolutions including Kanto Johto and Hoenn starters. This alternate Evolution is obtained with the help of a hold Item called a "Sphere" (Forrest, Pyro, Aqua) and obtaining the same level that would be needed to evolve normally)

Seedling (Seed-ling)
Type: Grass (Starter)
Ability: Overgrow
Evolution: Seedling->Budla->Floral OR Agricora
Size: 1'3" Weight: 10lbs
Info: Lacking feet, this Pokémon has to travel by bouncing. Occasionaly, it becomes trapped in a thick quagmire. If this happens, the Pokémon will begin to hybernate, awaiting its evolution.

Tigracub (Tie-gruh-cub)
Type: Fire (Starter)
Ability: Blaze
Evolution: Tigracub->Tigraflare->Tigraflame OR Tigrangel
Size: 2'4" Weight: 36lbs
Info: This Pokémon's fur is very precious and coveted by poachers. As a result this Pokémon's species has become near extinct. It harbors no animosity however and will befriend and trainer instantly.

Whalru (Whale-roo)
Type: Water (Starter)
Ability: Torrent
Evolution: Whalru->Whalruwave->Whalruchill OR Whalrusaur
Size: 2'0" Weight: 25lbs
Info: As it's legs are very close together, this Pokémon is not adept at walking on land. Instead, it prefers to swim lying on it's back looking at the sky.

Charagon (Char-ah-gon)
Type: Fire/Dragon
Ability: Levitate
Evolution: Charmander->Charmeleon->Charizard OR Charagon
Size: 15'6" Weight: 56lbs
Info: This majestic beast was, until recently, believed to be a myth. Very territorial, it will attack anything it perceives to be a threat. The strongest of the species are revealed by the darker flames and wing colorings.

Wow teh charizard and milotic is so simple, yet awsome.

Tehse are great, keep on making them(although I dislike the second one^^)

You sure like alternate evos, don't you?
The first one is perfect.
The second one is sprited good, its just there's something about it...
The third one is good, but the shading is flawed in some places.

Actually, I'd have to say that Tigracub is the best (yes, even without my shading help.) although I never got to see what it looked like without my help seeing as it got jpeg-ifed. I love it's shiny. It's so shiny, and blue, and...shiny!!!!!

I still don't like Whalru. >> Moreso his design than the spriting. And that mouth...bleh.

So...Charagon. The first thing I notice is that the wings aren't connected right. One is higher than the other, and the one on the left, the bottom blue part is stretched unnaturally. Also, the neck looks off, IMO. It isn't smooth enoguh. The lower part of the body is fine, although there's something with the shading, can't quite put my finger on it.

I wanna see a grass starter. *hint hint.* ^^;;;

Bigest thing that bothers me is that the Tigracub is rather large to be a starter. The shading on quite a few of them looks off, but I supose that comment is not directed to you but to Chibi Pika.

Tigracub's shading is probably the best out of these, but could use a bit more of the lightest shade and not so much black outlines. The red seems a bit bright for a starter on both versions, as well.

The Charagon and the other one look okay besides what Chibi mentioned about Charagon's neck, wings and the dithered shading on the neck.

Well, nobody seems to like Whalru. That's okay. I don't much like him either He's made to look like a helpless blob though. Seedling(The grass starter) isn't much better as it was one of my first Pokémon ever made. Charagon was the first sprite I ever really made (Not counting mixes etc) and I guess I never noticed the errors. The shading was done by me (as I said I suck). Whalru was the first ever entire scratch I made btw.

Tigracub's red colors are too bright. Make them a bit more darker.

Ooh, I like your Fire Starter. It's great if it's from scratch. Though as others have mentioned, the red is a little bright. Why not make it a softer shade, like you used in it's Shiny Blue Form.

well, it wouldn't get trapped in anyother kind of mud really, it'd need something that'd cling to it tightly.

That's the point. Basically, all these alternate evos are, are mutated versions of the real evolution. The sphere's contain a special radiation that cause an unusual evolution. Hence, their supposed to mostly look like their counterparts. (exceptions: Whalrusaur, Agricora, Tigrangel)

Maybe so, but you don't want to have both sides of the evolution lines to have the same exact heads/wings.
