1. that would make these sequels to SM
2. exciting!
3. that doesn't even sound reputable
4. possible... but it depends on what happens in the story
5. Lillie is the champion!

I saw this posted either on Twitter or reddit. It gives me hope that USUM are sequels, but I'm going to consider it fake until proven otherwise.

1. Not necessarily. It could just mean Elio/Selene moving to Alola was the linchpin that kicked off Sun/Moon in the first place, so if this is true, the story is most likely a "what-if" situation. Don't forget one of Pikachu's Dex entries said that the plan to make the Pikachu Power Plant was only just announced (by comparison, the first time the Rotomdex saw Silvally was under Gladion's ownership, and he's implied to have given the species its name), so the entries likely by and large go by a mix of programmed data and whatever Rotom itself learned from Kukui.

2. Meh. It's probably gonna be Kukui, or even Hau.

3. It's most likely a much more dangerous Team Skull still answering to Aether.

4. I'd kind of prefer them to be forms of Necrozma, since them being Solgaleo/Lunala's forms would mean the former is the only third member that didn't somehow improve after the initial two versions. Though it would make sense if Necrozma is a dead Cosmoem (spoiler alert: Nebby dies), or because of Prism Armor.

5. I do love me some good Ascended Fanon.

I hope the one about the league already being established is true, because that means there would be 2 Kahuna spots (Hala and Olivia) and 1 Trial Captain spot (Acerola) open, so there can be some new characters with different type specialties.

I don't know about the Kahuna spots being open, since they're selected by the Tapu themselves and have to serve in that capacity until they die. Could just be like the final trial before the League was ever a thing and they just come to Mt. Lanakila whenever the League has a challenger. I imagine whoever their final Grand Trial is facilitates the Elite Four challenge.

This thread is for all rumors about USUM.

Here's one that I found from Bulbagarden Forums. It's from the same guy who gave us the Chinese Leak.
1. The player character moves to Alola a year later than SM.
2. The League is already established and the Champion is mysterious.
3. The villainous team is called Team Rainbow, a reworked version of an old villainous team with some old characters as members.
4. The box legends are forms of Necrozma rather than Solgaleo and Lunala.
5. Lillie will surprise you a lot.

I don't want to believe rumor #3 cuz 'Team Rainbow' as a villainous team name sounds kind of sketchy to me, although at least it sounds somewhat believable even if it's not the best name. ^^;

These two rumors just came in yesterday.
Ultra Evolutions: are pretty similar to Mega Evolution, but they activate by “parental bond”. Some Pokémon getting this are A-Ninetales (Lillie form), Incineroar, Primarina, Decidueye, and Arcanine.
After Ultra Evolving, Primarina will be much faster, Incineroar bulkier, and Decidueye faster and with better attack.
Mega Evolution and Ultra Evolution will be enabled for the VGC 2018 tournament format.
The story revolves around two new Ultra Beasts that appear from a steel/metallic dimension to destroy all natural environments. They want to end organic life to only let inorganic steel species from their ‘dimension’ live there. The environment is destroyed, burnt, or poisoned depending on the place.
Necrozma thinks their methods are evil and appears from the same dimension to ally with Solgaleo and Lunala to stop them.
The two new Ultra Beasts are a purple iron wasp (Steel/Poison) in Ultra Moon, and a red iron scorpion (Steel/Fire) in Ultra Sun.
The wasp’s Ability is Toxicity, which poisons all adjacent Pokémon on the battlefield, even teammates. It makes it immune to Inferno.
The scorpion’s Ability is Inferno, which burns all adjacent Pokémon on the battlefield. It makes it immune to Toxicity.
The player characters get more oufits.
Delphox and Chesnaught get a Mega Evolution. Greninja has an Ultra Evolution. Mega Delphox is quadruped and has blue fire in each one of its two tails. Mega Chesaught gets two gloves of quills.

New Alola forms:
Alolan Johto Starters:
- Alolan Chikorita line: Grass/Fairy. Chikorita has a little horn that resembles the necklace of its original version. It has flowers as a necklace now and gets a kind of unicorn horn as it evolves. Meganium has wings and a flower necklace.
- Alolan Totodile line: Water/Dark. Totodile turns black, yellow and blue. It poses like holding his hands all the time. Feraligatr has teeth like a sabre-toothed tiger.
- Alolan Cyndaquil line: Fire/Ground. Typhlosion has a volcano on its back.
Other Johto mons are also getting Alola forms.
Alolan Legendary Beasts:
- Suicune (Ice) has the Ability Cold Aura (50% less damage from Fire- and Poison-type moves, extra damage from Steel-type moves. Stats: +atk, +def, -speed, -sp.atk.
- Entei (Dark) has the Ability Night Aura (50% less damage from Fairy- and Electric-type moves, extra damage from Ghost-type moves). Stats: +speed, +sp.atk, +sp.df, -atk.
- Raikou (Steel) has the Ability Luminic Aura (50%less damage from Steel- and Dark-type moves, extra damage from Electric-type moves). Stats: +def, +sp.def, +atk, -sp.atk, -speed.
Alolan Teddiursa (Dark) has the Ability Intimidate and has bulkier stats distribution. Alolan Ursaring also has the Ability Intimidate.
Alolan Sentret (Normal/Fairy) has the Ability Sweet Veil, while Alolan Furret has Prankster. Sentret has a flower necklace, Furret has pink fur in its tail and it’s hugging it all the time. It’s a bit faster and has higher sp.def and speed, but poor offensive stats. It learns Sweet Scent that heals half hp and raises sp.def.
Alolan Shuckle is Poison/Ground type.
Alolan Hoothoot is Flying/Psychic type.
Alolan Ponyta (Fairy) is a blue/pink Pegasus, with Gale Wings as its Ability. Its Alolan forms was discovered while helping the Pokémon to survive from contamination/fire.
Alolan Chikorita and Sentret appear on the same route, which is a magic flower field. You can also find Shaymin (not in the wild) and Florges here.

Ultra Sun/Moon takes place exactly like in Platinum where most are basically still the same but with a few details redone and the story progressing towards Necrozma.
Necrozma has been circulating Earth to gather enough energy to go back to Ultra Space, since it was summoned to Earth by accident by AZ thousands of years ago. Since Solgaleo/Lunala are the only ones that can open portals, Necrozma infects either and controls them against their will and uses them to gather all Ultra Beasts to Earth for an invasion.
You'll have to battle Aether grunts/admins to collect Zygarde Cells and Cores.
Portal to Ultra Space in Resolution Cave.
Zygarde vs Guzzlord, Solgaleo/Lunala vs Necrozma, Ultra Beasts vs Island Guardians cutscenes.
There will be a smaller Battle Frontier similar to the BF of Platinum. New characters.
Battle Cave added alongside Battle Tree, gets more returning characters: Eusine, Karen, Zinnia, Steven, Phoebe, Crasher Wake, Cheren, Bianca, AZ, Diantha.
Island Guardians will be required to catch through main story.
You will have to defeat Aether Admins in five islands with Ultra Beasts: Melemele - Faba/Kartana, Akala - Helga/Pheromosa, Ulaula - Lest/Xruxitree, Poni - Wicke/Buzzwole, Aether Foundation - Aris/Celesteela.
Johto/Kanto Alolan Forms (works alongside Virtual GS): Wobbuffet (Psychic/Ghost), Smoochum/Jynx (Grass/Fairy), Remoraid/Octillery (Water/Fire), Ursaring (Normal/Psychic), Phanphy (Grass), Donphan (Grass/Steel), Marill/Azumarill (Water/Psychic), Shuckle (Bug/Grass), Ponyta/Rapidash (Water), Dunsparce (Dragon/Fairy).
Added later:
Gladion's role is exactly the same as it was in the original games. Part of Team Skull, a runaway from his mother. He gets a redesign though, and helps you tackle the Ultra Beasts in the later game. Most characters from Sun and Moon are completely similar to upcoming games, ala-Platinum like what I have said. Lillie, Plumeria, Guzma and Lusamine being the only exceptions. As for the champion, it's best to keep it hidden. One thing for sure is she's a returning character.
We don't return to Kalos. We do get to explore more of Ultra Space. An expanded version like the Distortion World.
Lance doesn't return in the games nor an appearance in the Battle Cave. And no, Johto starters doesn't get any special treatment. Some Johto Pokemon mentioned above are the only ones to get Alolan forms.
Crasher Wake is not redesigned. Cheren and Bianca's outfits are completely revamped to summer outfits, similar to Red and Blue.
Lest and Helga are twins, one with pink hair and the other one with blue hair.
S.S. Anne doesn't come back. The Battle Frontier's layout is exactly as the one from Platinum's Battle Frontier, only short by two Battle facilities. It's sort of a resort. National dex is present ingame from the start. Original Sun and Moon dex is expanded. We don't get starters, we do get Lugia and Ho-Oh and the beast trio post-game
Island trials are now post-game quests. Gyms are now present in the open lots in the original games and are needed to complete in the main story. Battle Cave is exactly like the Battle Tree but a layout of going underground and rental battles have returned.
Necrozma has been finding a way to go back to Ultra Space to contact its co-Ultra Beasts. Since Necrozma has become partially a Pokemon for living on Earth for thousands of years, it decided to invade Earth and make it a part of Ultra Space by opening portals using Solgaleo and Lunala.
Zygarde is a vital piece of the story. No reason whatsoever for it to be teased in the original games
There are definitely more places to visit but no new islands. The recurring islands have expanded its layout and more new areas to explore.
Ponyta/Rapidash are redesigned with mermaid tails, similar to a Hippocampus and is used as a Ride Pokemon in the upcoming games. It is also a signature Pokemon.
Petunia is a Bug-type specialist Gym Leader in the games.

I heard a rumor that they're gonna put in Digimon this time

That's fake man, we already had Agumon in Sun. You just had to sell all of your items, hatch and release 20 Turtonators, and then go under the fossil man's trailer to get him.

These rumors sound interesting ('specially this whole Ultra Evolution thing) but alas, scream fake. Though I can see them add a new Battle area in the game with more past characters reappearing, I don't see them doing a new kind of Evolution or add new Megas. Though I did like the connection of Necrozma to AZ's actions, this sounded good and a very good way to tie all 3DS games together. As well Zygarde finally being in the spotlight for once. Will be disappointed if not true. Nothing to say on new Alolan forms, it's a given (probably) we will see new ones.

To get 4-5 bits of information as rumors is a lot more believable than having the entire list of changes laid out.
Those new rumors seems like a wishlist.

What's the point of even discussing these if we don't have a single shred of evidence that anything about these "rumors" are legitimate?

Alola legendaries? Fake as hell... how would they work? And a new evolution method introduced in a special edition and midgen? That all sounds way to implausible...

The new Ultra Beasts alone make this entire rumour automatically scream fake. They never add new Pokemon in the middle of a generation and I honestly don't see them starting now. Not to mention I highly doubt we'll be getting Alolan versions of any legendaries and Ultra Evolution just sounds like something someone made up on the spot to go with the title. Also for the Kalos Mega evolutions why would only Chesnaught and Delphox get them while Greninja gets an Ultra Evolution instead? Chesnaught and Delphox I could see getting Megas but Greninja already has Ash-Greninja so I don't see it getting any new forms and if it did, it'd be a Mega like the other 2.

Don't want any of this to be true. New Alola forms and Megas I'd welcome but this entirely new idea of Ultra Evolutions? No thanks.

So sly
Also the Alola types of some of the same pokemon are different between the two "leaks".

i.e. Ponyta being Fairy type in one leak, and Water type in the other.

Excitable Boy

is a metaphor
I heard that Onix was getting an evolution with a new type that has, like, ten resistances

I like the rumor that USUM take place in AU where the main character arrives 1 year later than SM.

Makes it sort of a sequel to SM. Though then the question is why not make a full-fledged sequel then?

You will have to defeat Aether Admins in five islands with Ultra Beasts: Melemele - Faba/Kartana, Akala - Helga/Pheromosa, Ulaula - Lest/Xruxitree, Poni - Wicke/Buzzwole, Aether Foundation - Aris/Celesteela.

hmm these two leaks seem to contradict each other. Although we have yet to have any evidence to suggest whether or not these are true or not as were going to have to wait until we start to get more official information of the games that will probably help to determine whether or not any of these leaks are real or fake. However I feel like it's important to point this out, but to the people who are just completely ruling this out saying that it is fake and that it's impossible for some of this stuff to happen may I remind you that some people said the exact same thing about previous leaks that turned out to have some true information on them.

For instance I remember that when a leak said that there was going to be a pokemon that evolved into the mascot legendries of Sun and Moon some people ruled that out saying that it's fake and that it was too stupid to be real because Gamefreak would never have a legendary pokemon as part of an evolutionary line and yet when the games actually came out it turned out that the information from the leak that said there was a pokemon that evolved into the legendary mascots of Sun and Moon turned out to be true. Also as I recall some people initial dismiss the leak that had the final evolution of the starters on it and yet it turned out that the final evolutions of the Alolan starters that were being depicted were accurate to what they would actually look like.

Also back during the days before X&Y came out and before the Fairy typing was announce when a leak came out about X&Y that said there would be a new typing immune to Dragon called Fairy typing some people quickly dismiss it as faked only for it to be revealed later that the leak about there being a new Fairy type was true.

So with all that being said while it is good to have a healthy amount of Skepticism and take the leaks with a grain of salt, it is also important not to completely dismiss them or saying that it's impossible for them to be true, because we just don't know if there true or not yet, and also there has been cases where leaks have contained both true and false information, by this I mean for instance there has been cases where part of the leak was true but another part of the leak was false.

As of right now(as far as I know of) it hasn't been confirmed that these leaks are fake which means that people shouldn't just dismiss them, at the same time people should not just automatically mean that everything in these leaks will wind up happening.

Regarding the Eurogamer rumor about Pokémon Stars (yes, we all know it was proved fake, BUT!) Yes, they did get the name and console wrong, but what if in USUM are indeed 20 completely new Pokémon? Of course they can still be Alolan forms or forms in general but it's possible. I mean, a lot of patterns are broken recently. Anything is possible.

I think I should point this out, but Pokémon Stars was never going to be the names of the game/s in the first place as it's been stated before that Pokémon Stars is a codename, basically like how Pokémon Rainbow was a codename for Pokémon Sun and Moon, so it's not much of a matter of them getting the name wrong it's more of a matter that they were just going by the codename of the games since they didn't know what it would actually be called. Basically codename does not equal actual name, so I don't know why people thought that the game/s were going to be called Pokémon Stars, that would basically like if back when we only had the codename for Pokémon Sun and Moon which is Rainbow if people had assumed that the game/s were going to be called Pokémon Rainbow.
