It might be better for the overall game experience but for larger companies like Pokémon the games have already been purchased by vendors and a delivery date has been set. It doesn’t matter where they are at in development, there is a signed contract that forces the game out at the stated release date. This is why a lot of games—not just Pokémon—have a Day/Week One Patch and/or a few bugs. Since we are approximately two months away from release there would have to be a severely catastrophic bug that somehow made it passed the testers, QC and QA.Ofc every software has bugs, I know that cuz I am a Data & Algorithm Engineer =]
But if a game has too many of them pre release, it is beneficial to delay the game release to make more checks and fixes..
