Slight Story spoiler
Kaka said that the evil boss of the game used ancient/future forms of Donphan respectfully depending on the version (I think it’s Clavell seeing as he has two versions, we already seen the villain according to kaka, and he has two versions each with a set of Pokémon on his model
Now that I think about it this explains why the codenames for the Donphans are both Boss

Ironically, this would be the second generation consecutively in which the main villain uses an elephant, but I'm not sure if they are meant to be their ace.

Ka has confirmed new breeding mechanic is pretty much placing eggs with incubators and waiting an hour or 2.

Needs more info, such as where do we get the eggs (current theory is gifts from Pokemon at your picnic) and if there are ways to speed eggs hatching or how will this be different from daycare breeding overall.

Confirmed Donphans both keep their ground typings.

Confirmed that ground/fighting and grass/ground typed Pokemon are in the game. That comes down to that yes, the Mushroom Pokemon is grass/ground to counter Tentacruel's Water/Poison. As well as one of the Donphans are ground/fighting, since all Paradox Pokemon are dual types and there are no more ground types in the main dex available for that dual typing and that all grass types for Paradox Pokemon have been accounted for.

Also current theory is that the 3 remaining types for Paradox are Poison/Psychic and Rock

So for the final outstanders, people are thinking

Paradox Amoonguss: Grass/Dark (remaining dark type slot)
Violet Paradox Volcarona: Poison/Fire
Hariyama: Fighting/Psychic
Delibird: Ice/Rock
Magneton: Electric/Rock or Psychic

I like that the types for the two RF Pokémon are meant to directly counteract the originals. I hope that we get more of them in potential DLC.

I haven't looked at the information regarding this, so forgive me if what I'm about to say contradicts something that has already been established.

I have a theory that RF Pokémon are cloned versions of the original; and that the alteration to their DNA is what differentiates them. Like Mewtwo, they were made to be stronger than their original counterparts, which is why they have types that directly triumph over them. Unlike Paradox Pokémon which are just natural products of evolution that makes them slightly different from their present day counterparts.

Dark/Flying paradox Hydreigon actually sounds busted

I was reading one of the boards and I think there's a double meaning that they caught:

Consider that he says 'how many heads do they have?' The obvious answer would be two, but one of the key thematic of the Mandibuzz line is that they both wear half of a skull. So if you take those halves and add them together, you get a third head which is an obvious hint at Hydreigon. To go further though, if that skull is a hint at the status of a third head it may be a reverse Hydreigon situation: Instead of one head being sentient, it's two heads with the third being undead.

So we start September this week. This means more news soon! Hoping for a Nintendo Direct also, and we need one considering we don't know much about 2023's lineup. I'm also hoping that SV news is saved for the Nintendo Direct also like SwSh's September update.

Forgive me if I sound obsessed with this topic. I have a theory based around the lore surrounding RF Pokémon.

Prior to the events of Gen I, Giovanni had commissioned a number of Scientists within the Paldea region to conduct experiments that would lead to the eventual attempt in cloning Mew. The goal was not only to learn how to duplicate DNA, but to alter it in a way that rendered it superior.

The test subjects that were used were directly sent to them by the Team Rocket Organization operating in the Kanto Region, which is why as far as we know they only consist of Gen I Pokémon; Diglett and Tentacool.

Although they succeeded in creating new Pokémon, they were deemed as failures for the following reasons:

1. They were not successful replications of the original Pokémon.
2. They were only made stronger because they were given types that are advantageous against the originals, which comes with disadvantages as well.

Thus, the research was scrapped, and with nothing left to do the new Pokémon were then released into the wild.

The project was eventually moved to Kanto under the direction of Dr. Fuji who was successful in genetically replicating and altering Pokémon. However, the project became a lot more complicated when it came to replicating Mew; and even though the scientists at the Pokémon mansion came close, the new Pokémon named "Mewtwo" became too powerful to control, and would eventually break out of its incubator and make its new home within Cerulean Cave.

I wonder if there will be type specialists covering all Pokémon types like in SM USUM...

So far we have these important type specialists.

Bug - Gym Leader
Dark - ???
Dragon - Elite Four
Electric - Gym Leader
Fairy - ???
Fighting - Sports Teacher
Fire - ???
Flying - Elite Four
Ghost - Gym Leader
Grass - Gym Leader
Ground - Elite Four
Ice - Gym Leader Grusha
Normal - Gym Leader
Psychic - Gym Leader
Rock - ???
Steel - Elite Four
Water - Gym Leader
Poison - Jacq as a prediction because his design and colour theme really does look poison like. He is also a biology teacher which can link to poison I guess.

Any ideas or hints on the remaining types?
So if my Poison type prediction is correct, that leaves a specialist for: Rock, Fire, Fairy and Dark.

How do you think the gym battles will work if the leak about there being no scaling is right?

I’m just worried that either we’ll have to battle the gym leaders in a set order (despite the whole freedom to choose your own story aspect they’re promoting) or you’ll grind your team to beat the eighth gym leader first and then breeze through the rest of the gsme

I’d be willing to bet significant money that it’s the latter - if you choose to, you can challenge the gyms in any order, and any for which you’re overleveled as a result will just be a breeze.

Level scaling is honestly such a huge, weird thing to miss in an open world game IMO, but I suppose that’s to be expected.

What if they do something akin od VGC where all your Pokemon are scaled to lv50?

I don't believe I saw any levels for the Gym Leader's Pokemon, it could be that gyms are more strategy focused than level focused.

How does that work though? Does that mean the gym leaders’ pokémon don’t have levels?

While I doubt they will, that would actually be an excellent step forward if the gyms’ trainers and leaders were also set to level 50. It would make the battles a strategy challenge rather than a simple level check like they’ve historically been. I’d really love that, actually.

The whole not scaling is fine and how every open world game works. The latter is what appears to be the case and that’s fine. If you choose to grind to beat the eighth first then your reward is for the rest of the gyms to be a breeze. This is how open world games work.

I don't mind either way. It's not like I'm not going to build my team, do as much school stuff as possible, do the treasure hunt, villain story, then the gym story anyways. That was literally what I did in Legends, I was told to go to the Ruins of Alph but instead I went out, caught a Togepi, Ralts, and Turtwig, then did the story stuff.

Of course, I'll have to be careful to avoid boss fights till then. Hopefully there are pins I can use to help me steer clear of any unwanted cutscenes or fights.
