Rumors & Leaks - Speculation/Discussion Thread

I've seen some dex entries from Violet being posted and it seems like as many have speculated that the Scarlet paradoxes have entries from the dubious paranormal magazine this time around.

Great Tusk: This creature resembles a mysterious Pokémon that, according to a paranormal magazine, has lived since ancient times.
Brute Bonnet: It bears a slight resemblance to a Pokémon described in a dubious magazine as a cross between a dinosaur and a mushroom.
Sandy Shocks: It slightly resembles a Magneton that lived for 10,000 years and was featured in a paranormal magazine.
Scream Tail: It resembles a mysterious Pokémon described in a paranormal magazine as a Jigglypuff from one billion years ago.
Flutter Mane: It has similar features to a ghostly pterosaur that was covered in a paranormal magazine, but the two have little else in common.
Roaring Moon: According to an article in a dubious magazine, this Pokémon has some connection to a phenomenon that occurs in a certain region.

A Magneton living for that long sounds pretty neat even if it isn't true. Scream Tail being around a billion years ago would have been insane, at least if we follow Earth's timeline. Flutter Mane's entry is just pure nonsense.

Drapult is Violet exclusive? Darn it... Guess I'll need to resort to trades, then...
Well, th e only downside to Violet is that Dragalge is in Scarlet, and that's an old Pokemon anyway.

So as I said; it's Violet for me.
I mean to be fair some of the versions exclusive might show up in raids like was the case in Sword&Shield, so you might be able find someone is hosting a raid for Dragapult or Dragalge and be able join it and get them that way.

Version exclusives are completely inconsequential since online trades became a thing. Sure, if you don't have NSO you won't be able to do any trading until the HOME compatibility, but if you have it then getting something through trade is maybe even easier than catching it in game.

If you have NSO and can freely trade, the only relevant factor here seems to be the box legendary. Unlike previous games, the legendary will be by your side the entire time, so picking the version with the one you prefer will make a lot of difference (in fact, I think this time it matters even more than which starter you will chose).

I'm very interested to find out if we can battle the other teachers at the school. Their designs look very cool and somehow look as if they specialise in a type.
Post-game tournament include professors. I have no idea if they can be fought before that though.

Actually in regards to the mascot legendary, (not sure if the following is actually a story spoiler but I marked as such just in case)
you apparently get to catch a 2nd one of your versions mascot, so basically that means it should be easy to find people to trade with online to get the other version mascot.

Does it happen to be the second Koraidon/Miraidon that you supposedly will clash against in the lategame or postgame against AI Sada/Turo?

They usually have events where you can get shiny versions of Pokemon of the Mascot from the opposite version at a later point.

Does it include all of the professors?

She has Wattrel, Bellibolt of course, and that’s all I watched. Here’s some images
Oh wait, I forgot how to make images I took into htmls and how to make an image a spoiler.
