Maybe that evil Momotaro is the toxic chain that gave the Loyal Three their powers and not a Pokemon at all...but then again Pokemon literally become tea sets so...
I’ve noticed the silhouette of the supposed peach Pokémon looks a lot lit a pig because of the way its nose is drawn and very prominent. Wasn’t there some sort of pig demon in the Momoto story? I haven’t heard the story since I was little as my grandma used to tell it to me as a kid and I can’t remember all of the details but I do remember something about pigs or at least monsters that were pig like being in the story. Also a pig’s nose could easily be redrawn to resemble the shape of a peach.

I actually have a theory that it was AZ that was the mysterious man from the story because the legend never stated what exactly had happened to the man or that he was even killed. All we know is that the “Loyal” trio had attacked him and stole three or the four masks and Ogerpon had returned home to find it a total mess and.both the man and the masks were Missing. The man also seemed to be extremely tall like AZ And was not from Kitakami. Perhaps AZ had met Ogerpon and it had become his Pokémon partner that he had met while traveling. We know That AZ must have traveled through the Japanese based regions given the tree he planted in Sootapolis City is still there in ORAS. Plus the Flabebé line is in the Galar Dex and Floette is heavily tied to AZ and the Eternal Flower form has its own unique sprite in Home and even a Dex entry and Light of Ruin still remains in SV’s code.
I thought the loyal trio killed the trainer when they attacked and stole the masks before ogrepon came and took revenge by killing them? That's what I got from the story

I'm only familiar with the basic plot of the Momotaro story...I do know there's a pig demon/something in Journey to the West, though. He's one of the companions of the monk together with the Monkey King and some other demon (a river dragon or something) that gets turned into a horse.

That was the way I interpreted the story but technically they never confirm he died. I assumed it was just something they wanted to avoid saying outright as its a person. In the same they do mentioned the loyal 3 being interred but they also technically never say dead (which may be worse).

I agree. I feel like they just didn't want to explicitly say that he died, but it is worth mentioning that after the Loyal Three's raid Ogerpon "donned the mask and went down to the village, perhaps in search of its friend." so it is interesting that the Teal Mask was left at the den but they go out of their way to mention that the human(dead or otherwise) is not there.

That line is why I also thought that it was possible that the man had fled in fear from the Pokémon that had attacked him. He didn’t know if they’d come back or not to attack him again and he had to find a way to protect himself and the villagers wouldn’t let him come hide in town because of his looks. Another reason I think it might have been AZ is because we know his face is a bit rough looking after the Great War and that he is immortal but very old and I’d imagine that he still ages a bit every couple of centuries. AZ is also a loner since he fired the Doomsday Device and he did seem to want to be friends with any Pokémon he had met and not humans as a way to atone for his sins against nature. I think if the man in Ogerpon’s story didn‘t flee then Ogerpon would have found him badly hurt inside the cave and the story wouldn’t have said it went out looking for him.

AZ doesn't seem the type to up and abandon his Pokemon though...he did create a device to bring his beloved Pokemon to life...and proceeded to convert that same device into a weapon and nuke the whole world with it.

I'm thinking the story avoided saying Orgerpon's partner died outright...which is weird to me because while in XY they didn't say what really happened to Floette, they did show us the freakin' box her body was in...but yeah, it's implied he was killed or else Ogerpon wouldn't have gone into a rage...or maybe she would have but the royal three would have probably survived if the guy was alive/or accounted for.

My best guess is that the guy is from Paldea...probably migrated from the place because the Empire was starting/was collapsing. As for that AZ connection...maybe the Ultimate Weapon did hit the crater and affected Terapagos in some way.

I think that the area the Ultimate Weapon hit was actually the Lake of the Sunne/Moone in Alola. I don't think that it hit Paldea because if they wanted that to be the case they would have brought Mega Evolution back in Scarlet and Violet but they didn't.

But there is no indication that Alola was ever at war with another region was there? If anything the presence of mega stones in Hoenn suggests they were the ones that got nuked which admittedly is a little bit on the nose considering their real-world inspiration.

The presence of Mega Evolution in Hoenn was stated to be the result of Rayquaza and not anything related to the Ultimate Weapon.

Speaking of regions, wouldn't the location of the Blueberry Academy (Unova) be a hint in itself at possible Black and White remakes, or possibly Black 3 and White 3?
I’m not expecting remakes until 2027. I think that the next game is Gen 10 in 2025.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that, lol. Still not entirely impossible it was Hoenn that was at war with Kalos, though Unova is a possibility, too.

I think it would make more sense if Gen. 10 started in 2026. Gen. 4 started during the 10th anniversary, and Gen. 7 started during the 20th, so they could keep the pattern going with the 30th.
Although I don't know if they would even do a four year gen anymore, so I expect Gen 10 in 2025 and the DLC for it in 2026.

With the Switch 2 presumed here next year, it could be a similar scenario to LGPE where they have a remake first for the new console as they wait for more people to buy it and I can see a Gen 5 remake and Legends game happening in 2025, followed by Gen 10 in 2026.

Maybe we'll get more SV DLC for 2024 to fill time or something.

I think that they'll do an updated port of SV itself instead of a remake, with all the DLC available from Day 1 and possibly a new campaign story altogether.

Gen VII was rushed during production to meet the anniversary and that really affected Gen VI and the Kalos games as there was a lot of evidence that a third game featuring Zygarde was planned and Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves being programmed into ORAS and there are still a lot of unanswered questions in Kalos especially when it comes to Zygarde’s true connection to the Mortality Duo and why the Power Plant doors that you can’t enter have that message which is extremely odd as no such messages have ever been displayed with other doors that you couldn’t enter.

I truly wonder if they would've thrown in elements from the original concept for XY into a potential Z

Of course certain things wouldn't happen now because the canon goes against it such as how Lysandre was originally going to be the Hyde to Sycamore's Jekyll.
