Does anyone know when the official National Pokedex numbers of the new Pokemon will be revealed?

already has,

its currently missing two Pokemon (Suicune and Virizon) and whats weird is that Tinkaton line, Charcadet line and the new evolutions come after the legendaries and paradox Pokemon.

That and Pokemon aren't in order of of the regional dex, but instead grouped by their typings, making it look very odd.

Yes, this is why I was asking. It is indeed weird. The legendaries are always last. On the Pokemon Serebii pages it says #??? for the national dex numbers so I thought maybe they weren't officially revealed yet.

I don’t believe there’s any confirmation that those are the actual National Pokédex numbers. I would be surprised if we knew those numbers at all before Home compatibility comes because there does not appear to actually be a National Dex in the games themselves. The order you’re referring to sounds like the order that things were programmed into the games, like in Gen 3 when Chimecho was last in the internal data.

Really don't like most of the Pokemon, they doesn't look Pokemon-ish to me.
It feels like we have too many birds Pokemon, that even look similiar, and many bugs as well.
Dudunsparce - we've been waiting for a Dunsparce evolution for 20 years and this is what we get?
Spidops, Lokix - look too childish and not complete, maybe this is just the artwork that we have so far.
Tandemaus and Maushold - couldn't make a simplier Pokemon, so lame.
Tatsugiri - dragon type? Really?
Pawmi line - it's like all three looks the same.
Flamigo - looks too real and not Pokemon-like.
Nacli line - Nacli is okay, the others...
Bramblin line - what is this? Some kind of a Dhelmise?
Gholdengo - looks like a character of a 90's game.
Ting-Lu - those horns with this bowl are so useless.
Chi-Yu - Bahhh
Also, really don't like the names of all those four legendaries.
Future and Past Pokemon are a lame idea, even more those lame names.
I think you need to see the pokemon in game moving around, see their animations and personality etc. For example, Tatsugiri is a GREAT design, and looks adorable in game, all 3 colour forms really pop. Dragon typing makes perfect sense (it's imposter sushi) and we need more water/dragon mons.
The Nacli line is another that will grow on you. Lokix and Spidops look better when seen moving around the overworld. Bramblin is epic. In the desert they literally ZOOM around in the wind like a real tumbleweed. Flamigo looks better when seen in packs and when moving around.

The legendary 4 are based on Chinese Mythology, and the names fit and do grow on you too. The names make then sound badass to me. I'd rather Chi Yu or Chien Pao as names than Ho-Oh and Kommo-O and stuff like that.

So far I'm loving the games. Taking me ages to do the storyline because I just keep finding new areas and new mons to fill the pokedex. It's a LOT better than SwSh.

Sprigatito is the best line design-wise.

Went for Quaxly mostly because of how overdue the water/fighting starter thing was.

I really hope we get Blaziken in a potential DLC

I am really surprised by this game. Its Very Fun. And the cities are huge. But, we need a patch, the lag is a bit annoying. And the most critics are in this. The npcs in some place seems to move in slow motion. But really, i am liking this game and team star musics are fantastic! But the gym leader battle theme...

Eevee903

You are awesome!
Arvens story is the most touching one in my opinion. Really made me want to finish the Titan storyline. The Star storyline is not bad,but it isn't amazing either. Basically it is defeating bullies who got bullied in the past. They justify bullying cause they got bullied.

The League storyline is as usual. Though Nemona made it fun and the gym leaders are creative.

In general the teams of Gym Leaders, E4 and especially Geeta seem rather disappointing. Always though that Geeta would have Ceruledge in her team.

I like that the design of the e4 members don’t imply their specialised type .it’s refreshing compared to what we had in sm
A blue girl = water specialist, for example

Weird to single out SM when that holds true for multiple characters in every game including this one. Even the specific example of blue = water specialist is true for SV.

I think she was referring specifically to the Elite 4, which is true. Many of them have designs that gave them away in the past like in X/Y where if the 'Fiery' personality and her talk of 'hot rage' didn't give away her type, then the literal Flaming chamber would. It was the worst in Sun/Moon because 3 out of the 4 of them you had already fought throughout the game (that was THE laziest decision; lore-backed reason or not) and in case you had forgotten their type specialty, their arena would give away the design before you fought them.

At least here, I had NO idea who I was up against each time. Even against Larry, my expectation was subverted when he decided on another type from what he used previously. I hadn't a clue clothing, design, or personality-wise for any of them on what type they specialized in.

Nah the SM Elite 4 being made up of characters you had met already was my favorite execution of the elite 4 concept, I always hated how there'd be these super powerful trainers who don't show up in the game until then and do jack all to help against world ending threats

Larry has a cloud pattern on his tie, it's hard to see in game though

OK Scarlet and Violet you’re going far with pulling my leg! Now the joke is unbelievable. “Great Tusk”? “Scream Tail?” “Iron Jugli”? These are forms of existing Pokemon not new ones! I’m sure if I talk to Jacq in the box, the Pokedex will sort this out!

The specific example was Lana who is not an e4 member and again even specifically talking e4, SM designs were no more revealing of their type than other games. The point you make about SM isn't really about character design but I personally loved how SM handled the creation of the league, it was a refreshing take on a concept that was growing stale. That said, Galar got rid of the e4 altogether for gym leader rematches so by that definition it should be worse.

In terms of the design, I get the element of surprise but at the same time I find the Paldea e4 more generic in terms of their designs. Previous e4 members and even the Paldean gym leaders give you a lot more character and ultimately are the stronger type association makes them more memorable. That said, I haven't fought the e4 yet and am mostly going by what I've seen of them online. I've only met two of them in game and they haven't left a strong impression so far.

I believe that Larry was called in to fill a vacant spot in the Elite 4 as one of their members had left before the game started to become a Gym Leader to replace a Gym Leader whose Gym was destroyed. I think that he was nothing more than a placeholder to be filled in later.
