Yeah, well. I had to be gone for a while for FFA stuff and my other thread was dead beyond revival. So here I am again.

I do recolors of many kinds:
Rainbows

Front and back

Colors from another pokemon

Stripes

Trozei

Random

Recoloring is really my calling, but I've also tried:

Eggs

Siamese Pokes

One Map

And only two mixes, ever.

I like that map. I also think that the Pidgeotto egg looks wierd.

Thanks. Do you believe it's only the second map I ever made? The first was never quite.. finished. I put this one in the current map contest.

I think the ears/horns on the houndoom are a little awkward looking bare, as they are. But I hesitate to put a route through them. Do you think that would help, anyone? I don't want it to look cluttered, but it looks bare to me up there.

These are good! the reclours are awesome and the random ones there has to be shading on those. Might want to fix those..

I think the map looks alittle to open. Maybe you could put more routes and towns/citys on it.

Just like they said, the map is the best. The striped pokemon are great and you are a good spriter. Keep up the good work.

These are good! the reclours are awesome and the random ones there has to be shading on those. Might want to fix those..

I did actually use several shades of black. It's just that with anything lighter added, they get to looking a bit... grey. And I meant them to be black and gold (Steelers fan). Any suggestions on overcoming that problem?

no it is just all black! You need to make sure there is shades of black grey and mabye white...let me try and then I will post it here...

86, 55, and 0 respectively

On Ekans there are 4:
85, 65, 38, and 0 respectively.

I will respace them to:
100, 60, 15
and
100, 75, 50, 15

to make it more noticeable.

Hmn. It only makes the smallest difference. I replaced the values in the sprites on the first post. The Dratini is barely noticeable even when zoomed in, but the Ekans does look a bit better. Being the first two recolors I ever did.. I'll let them be now. I don't want to forget my original intention.

Thanks, everyone. The praise really gets to me. I've never been an artist. I can't draw stick figures. But after a month of spriting (just yesterday I was reading more tutorials).. I really find my self-esteem to, well.. exist. Thanks and stuff. I'm too happy to find good words.

You know, I don't see stripes and stuff like that in the threads here usually. Is that not a common thing?

Your recolors are nicely done. The striped Pokemon are quite interesting and they don't have blinding default colors. xD The rainbows are neat too.
The rainbow Chansey parade remind me of Skittles. o.o;

Even though you've done only two mixes, I think you have potential to get better. How about trying some simple mixes or a revamp?
