This is my first attempt at a fanfic so any advice/critique is welcome.
Her blonde spaghetti-and-meatball hair was being pushed behind her shoulders by her soft pale hand. Her blue eyes gazed softly at her reflection in the mirror. She smiled gently moving her thin lips to reveal her pearl-like teeth. The small freckles on her face were barely noticeable because of the cover-up that had been applied and was still left open on the vanity set where she was sitting. She hummed happily to herself still in aw at her beauty. The pink trim around the mirror highlighted her face as it continued down onto the table part of the vanity, where make-up and comic books lay scattered.
She struck poses, switching slowly between each, to see how she looked in each. To herself, she was a model, trying to sell her school uniform. The white top flowed as she shifted her arms from place to place. At one point she even popped her blue collar/shoulder covers. She crossed her shaven legs, while playing with the blue skirt covering them. Mostly she just arranged her fingers to focus on her red bow on her shirt or the pendant that highlighted it rather. Real gold surrounding a red crystallized heart that glimmered in the light, it was beautiful.
Her modeling came to an end as she heard a bang coming from downstairs. She walked over to her room’s brown door, frightened. She quietly tiptoed across the pink shag carpet that floored her room. Like a ninja she kicked some books stealthily over to her white framed and pink sheeted bed.
She had finally gotten to her door when it whooshed open smacking her in the face!
“Serena! C’mon!” The girl that had opened the door shouted. Her long blonde hair flowing from her obvious run up the stairs. She was wearing a similar uniform to Serena, except her bow was in her hair and she an ascot where Serena’s bow was. She flung her shimmering hair backwards with her flawlessly manicured fingers as she said, “You told me to come pick you up and you aren’t even ready?”
“Mina!” Serena hollered at the long blonde haired girl standing in her doorway as she rubbed her nose in pain. “Tonight is our schools last dance of the year, if I expect to get asked to go today than I need to look my best!”
“I thought Darien was taking you?” Mina asked leaning in towards Serena annoyingly.
“Mina,” Serena whined tugging on the long pigtails of her hair. “You know that he is too old to come to our school! He’s going into his second year of university we’re still in grade 10. I’ll need a boy our age.”
“Well than today we’re going boy hunting!” Mina said forming a fist with her hand and mouthing ‘Yes’.
“Will there be ice cream?”
“It depends if you get the boy or not,” Mina smiled as Serena started to giggle and they both began to walk.

Serena and Mina arrived at school, late. Serena, Mina and three of their friends all had the same class first period, Art.
They walked in on their teacher, Mrs. Noland. She was plump, old and smelly. Her hair was grey and wrinkles upon wrinkles stained her face. But those wrinkles, most of them smile lines told everyone how nice she was. Although she wasn’t active, probably because of her fabulous art career, she still looked completely healthy.
“Late as usual,” Mrs. Noland said in a shaky voice as she squinted her eyes towards Mina and Serena.
The two blondes quickly joined their friends at the table for five, Serena tripping over a chair along the way.
Serena sat at the end of the table and Mina sat beside a girl with short blue hair. She had the same uniform as Serena except no broach where her ribbon was and her skirt was a little bit longer. Like Mina and Serena here eyes were blue although a bit deeper. “It’s about time,” The blue haired girl uttered.
“Oh Amy hush,” said the taller girl across the metal table from Mina. Her long brown hair was pulled up into a neat pony tail, leaving only one strand of hair on either side of her head flowing down. The elastic that held her hair up had two pink balls on the top of it that matched her rose earrings, which she occasionally played with. She fidgeted with her uniform that was different than the other girls’. Hers was longer and had no bows only ties around her chest. The uniform had a white long-sleeved top and a brown collar/shoulder covers that matched the long skirt.
“Lita! Amy’s right!” The final girl barked quietly to her tall friend. She pushed her dark purple hair back out of her face to reveal her cold purple eyes. Her eyes were so interesting compared to everything else. Her uniform was also different. It was grey with a red trim for the shoulder covers and skirt and of course the white top. Only her skirt was much shorter, perhaps a little bit too short.
“Rei,” Serena whined. “Why are you always rude to me?”
“Serena,” Rei whined mockingly. “Why are you always blah nah blah.”
Serena loudly placed her fists down on the metal table causing an echoing BOOM! Which interrupted Mrs. Noland’s speech again. She simply cleared her throat warningly at Serena and continued on.
“Would you two please cut it out,” Amy harshly said giving an evil eye to the two arguing girls.
“Serena!” Mina quietly squealed. “What about hi-im!” She said in a sing-song voice as she subtly pointed to the boy who seemed to be staring at Serena.
“Well I guess he is kind of cute… well the cutest one in here.” Serena replied as the other girls turned to look at him sitting by himself in the back of the room.
“It’s amazing we’re in this class for a full semester and yet we only just see a cute guy now,” Lita sighed, playing with her rose earrings.
“I always thought I had a good memory, yet I don’t remember anyone being that cute,” Amy pondered.
“He probably just got dressed up for the dance,” Rei stated.
“That’s logical,” Amy replied.
“So are you gonna ask him?” Mina asked Serena as she gently elbowed her stomach.
“Ummm,” Serena replied undecided.
“No, shhh, he’s coming!” Rei hushed her group of friends as the boy got up from his table.
He walked past their table coolly flinging his blonde bangs off of his forehead, revealing his auburn eyes. He then reached into the pocket of his blue uniform pants and quickly took out a folded piece of paper and set it on Serena’s part of the table. He then continued to walk before asking in an angelic voice, “May I use the washroom please?”
The girls at the metal table began to giggle as Serena blushed. She unfolded the paper and began to read,
Dear Serena,
I’ve been watching you for quite some time now and until today I never noticed how truly beautiful you really are. Although most of our school mates make fun of your unique hair style, I find it beautiful in an abstract way. It’s like you dare to be different no matter what anyone else says. But before I dig myself any deeper in flattering you, I just wanted to ask one thing, which is why I wrote this letter. But I’m not quite sure how to ask it in a letter, so I thought at lunch maybe you and I could meet out by Clear Pond.
I’ll be waiting and I guess if you don’t come than I’ll know you think I’m a total freak, so I hope you come.
Best wishes, Lewis.
As Serena finished reading she began to blush. She was caught up in the summery affection that all kids her age were having. Even though she was in love with Darien she still felt kind of infatuated for this Lewis. She didn’t think that Darien would say anything about her doing this, after all it’s just lunch and he knew how much she loved food.
“Serena I think he’s going to ask you to go to the dance with him!” Mina chimed.
“Oh I wish I had a date for that,” Lita whined.
“Hey Lita,” Mina said. “I was supposed to go boy hunting with Serena but it seems like she already has one, did you want to come instead?”
“That’d be awesome!” Lita said excitedly.
“Who are you two going with?” Serena asked turning to Rei and Amy.
“Well I happen to have a great date, even better than Lewis,” Rei said pointing to herself.
“Yourself?” Amy asked.
“No he’s in the class next to this one,” Rei sighed.
“So he’s in there with my date, Gregory, Advanced Physics?” Amy asked.
“Umm no he’s taking foundations of math,” Rei sighed of embarrassment.
“HA! Your date is stupid because I take that course too!” Serena chuckled to the beat of nah-nah-nah-boo-boo.
Rei picked up the nearest paintbrush and flung it at Serena’s head. “So what, he is still totally hot!” Rei chuckled as she stared at the crying Serena, who was holding her forehead in great agony.
Serena quickly quieted as she saw Lewis coming back from his bathroom break. She began to do one of the prettiest poses that she had came up with in her mirror this morning as he walked by. He just nodded his head coolly at her and continued to walk to his seat.

Time just seemed to fly by until lunch hour. It was a nice day out and Serena needed the walk. She just walked slowly, coolly and relaxed, her hands behind her head and her head facing the cloudless blue sky. Her buckle black shoes clicked on the sidewalk as she walked passed the glorious green grass and fabulously fragrant flowers. Nothing ever seemed so delightful to her.
That was until she got to Clear Pond. It was their that the nirvana she was feeling grew. The rainbow finned fish swam to and fro, their pretty scales reflecting sunlight. She fixed her long hair before sitting down on a rock underneath a beautiful flower-filled tree.
Merely seconds past by before someone approached her. It was Lewis! Serena moved over on the rock and he sat beside her. He just sat their and gazed at her with his auburn eyes. She looked up at him and just fell into his eyes. She wasn’t thinking of anything, she was just caught up in the moment. It was there they just connected. Her heart was racing faster than anything. He began to lean in closer and closer getting ready to press his lips against hers. Right before they kissed something zoomed in between them.
Serena jumped quickly up and looked around. She than saw a single red rose stuck into the tree they were sitting under. Lewis jumped up just as fast and stared at the rose in fear,
They both turned to face a man dressed in a tuxedo with a red underside black cape and a top hat and ballroom mask. He stood poise on a single branch of a nearby tree across the pond. There was no doubt in Serena’s mind that he was Tuxedo mask. But somehow he looked different.
She turned back to the rose and it had turned black, petals wilting off of it quickly. She then turned her attention back to him and noticed that there was a woman standing next to him. She held on tightly around his stomach her curly dark blue hair waving in the wind. Her eyes were completely black nothing else.
“Did you get her crystal?” The black eyed lady asked as her short cut sparkly dress danced in the breeze.
“What are you talking about? What Crystal?” Lewis asked in fear as he slowly walked backwards. He didn’t see where he was going and tripped over a nearby rock, clunking his head on the tree.
“Fool!” The lady hissed. She pulled out a black crystal with a red rose in the middle. “He’s feeling angry,” She said to Serena as she gazed inside the crystal. “Let’s amplify this feeling!” Black lightning came from out of her fingernails and danced around the crystal. Tuxedo Mask’s body shook with evil energy before he began to stare at Serena.
Serena gaped in shock. Darien was mad at her and possessed, Lewis her future date to the dance needs a hospital and there is a witch-like lady snuggling with Tuxedo Mask/Darien! Only three words came to mind for Serena. She jolted her right hand into the air and shouted, “Moon Cosmic Power!”
