Salamence Used Aeroblast!!

ok, i don't know if it works, but a girl at a nintendo event told me about it.
-1st get a pokemon, like salamence for example, that you want to know a good move, like aeroblast for instance,
-2nd get a pokemon with that great move -lugia-
-3rd get a smeargle with a scetch left
-4th teach [salamence] mimic
-5th in a double battle, have [salamence] use mimic on scetch
-6th retreat smeargle for [lugia]
-7th have [lugia] use [aeroblast] and sceth it
after the battle, [x] should know [x] because of scetch's permanentness
this could be good to give scizor focus energy, blissey eruption, and so on

SOMEONE TELL ME IF THIS WORKS!!!!!!!!

used to be able to do this kind of thing, back in G/S/C, but they fixed it the advanced generation.
