What should I put on Latios. No tutors until I can trade through my emerald.
If I don't use Psychic, what's a good Heracross/Machamp/Hariyama counter?(Don't say Salamence)

For a Counter for Heracross/Machamp/Hariyama would be Skarmory with Drill Peck, Alakazam, or Psychic using Starmie.

Damn. I'll use boltbeamer Latios w/recover.

Those Fighting counters suck. They counter those 3 well, but those three pokemon with the exception of weezing can't attack for life.

What the hell are you talking about? Gengar can sure attack well, alot better than Weezing can. And who said they need to attack well to be useful?

I wan't thinking of Gengar. Offense is most useful in BT.

Skarm sucks so much in the BT.
Weez is okay.
Dusc cant attack, but has nice support moves, but without tutors, etc, can only really have 2-3 good moves, especially with my TM shortage.
Zam/Star don't belong on the same team as Latios btw.

Defense is prone to OHKO abusers, some set-upers, accuracy removers, all stuff like that.

Metagross walls DC/Psychic Latios, and I have no DC anymore anyways.

Dusclops evo attacks well, but everytime I use Dusclops(which isn't that much) it does very little damage.

I was thinking about having Gengar with Latios, but isn't that kind of repetitive?

1 pokemon (2 incliding Jirachi).
Dual STAB will help you a lot more in-game that Bolt Beam or Flame Claw will.

Dusclops is awesome.
It's offence is better on NB than in-game though.

^Agreed^ It also blocks Rapid Spin which no one uses in the BT.

Steel Types in general are rare.

You'll see the odd Metagross later on, and an occasional Steelix - but after 2 CM's he is 2HKO'd.
Other than that, I can't think of any you might encounter.

I'm pretty sure Metagross will 2hko me with MM automatically.

I'm talking of R/S in which Steelix doesn't exist, so Metagross/Maggy are the only used Steels(occasional Aggrons). Metagross is used a lot against me...

oh, ok.

then just swap out, or keep it in against a special Pokemon so you can get in 6 x CM - because the AI don't switch - and kill any metagross you see when they come.

Dragon claw and surf together is Normal to every pokemon in the game. Use calm mind a couple of time and recover if you are lower and 1 hit any pokemon with dragon claw or surf. Owns in the battle tower

@WaterTrainer411: Use Fighting_Master's set; he's right that in R/S, dual STAB will help more than the wider type coverage you receive from BoltBeam or the others.
