Scary Hospitality! (875)

Why did Cole sound like a ghost and everyone screamed and why would they show children being eaten in a children's show.Other than that pretty awesome filler I wish it could have aired Friday night.

There are plenty of kids cartoons where children get eatened... Serena's story wasn't gruesome or anything...

Overall, the episode was okay. this is the type of episode where you need english subtitles to really enjoy it lol.

This episode was alright. I loved all the facial expressions that Serena made and Clemont freaking out was entertaining. 7/10

Cole was probably dead. He didn't have a shadow and neither did the ghost Pokemon.

Cole wasn't dead. It was just a prank of him and Bonnie to scare Ash, Serena and Bonnie. Neither the date on the picture was true

Hey didn't the man in Cole's story say something similar to what the ghost girl in xy games says? Might just be coincidence.

He was telling the Faceless Men story his ingame counterpart tells.

Let's go to the beach, each.
Not much to say, other than this one was much more entertaining, even if it is so very close to the tower of terror ep from OS.

It did have similarities, but I still didn't think this episode did a good job of mimicking that one. Gastly's evolutionary line just bored me here since we've seen them before several times.

Man, I thought that Mega Gengar would appear since this episode contained it's whole family.

Would be the best moment for it's debut.

I know what you mean haha. In theory, it mimicked it solely because the line was there, but they really didn't do much at all, other than playing instruments I think.

No need to worry!
Well, if I'm going to say anything about this episode after just watching it...it was well, not bad, but relatively straightforward. The good was that it was entertaining to see Ash, Serena, and Clemont look utterly horrified while Bonnie was entertained. Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar were also relatively, you know, kind of funny, and it was funny to see that Cole was a ghost all along (hence the fact that he cast no shadow), and everyone reacting in horror at the realization.

Other than that, this was a relatively straightforward filler that wasn't much more than filler. Oh and that pic was taken on July 14. I was rather shocked by that because July 14 happens to be my birthday, albeit in the late 1990's.

Also this isn't the first time real time timeline dates were mentioned in the anime. If you go back to the Flabebe episode, the newspaper TR was reading had the episode's air date on it.

What a strange little episode this was. Strange in a good way. I never cared too much for the Kalos scary house, but this filler was alright. Ah, the Ghost Pokemon trio. Always freaking people out for their own amusement. Never gets old. I enjoyed Clemont very much in this episode. Who are you going to call to deal with ghost? Clemontbusters of course. So far they only have two members, Clemont and Chespin. But the numbers can increase. Serena was also enjoyable with her freakouts, spooky stories of kids being turned into ghost, and her own spooky expression and voice from the start of the episode scaring Clemont. If only Grace was in this episode.
Grace: Serena, something unbelievable just happened in the kitchen.
Serena: Oh yeah? Well something unbelievable just happened to my face...again.

But of course Bonnie steals the show yet again. While everyone was freaking out over the littlest of things, Bonnie just wanted more. And she trolls everyone at the end. What's that? Ghost Pokemon you say? Bonnie fears nothing and she laughs at everyones fear. Plus no TR this episode till the end. That was a nice change of pace. So overall a not bad episode. Bonnie sure does love these creepy/ghost episodes like with the Espurr. Interesting.

I was entertained. It was not an epic battle episode, but nonetheless a lot of fun to watch even though I barely know a lick of JAP. Bonnie was hilarious and LOL at team rocket end of ep cameo.

So the subs are out now so we can understand what was exactly said. I really enjoyed this episode, it was a lot of fun and the expressions were priceless; Serena and Clemont being freaked out and Ash trying to stay cool but still scared, and Bonnie just being amused, so funny heheh. So what I understood was that Mr. Cole/Corps was dead the entire time... Creepy. (fun fact, "corps" in French means "body", just to add up to the creepiness). It was pretty sweet that Bonnie had this picture of herself, Cole and the ghost pokemons and not telling about it to the other ones, who now just think that it was all just a dream. Also, the date was 1758 and from what I read in the subs, Ash said "HUH! It was more than 200 years ago!" Well that means that the actual Pokemon timeline takes place around 2000. We don't know exactly but at least we know that it is end XX / beginning XXI century

I know, that's why I said it is end XX / beginning XXI, but with the technology they have I would rather say it is XXI, but who knows.

Yeah, the date just means it's after WWII. Nothing special there.

Clemont [My fault, Criton. Same thing.] was pretty much a wuss in this episode. He freaking sleeps in fetal position.

Too old for your rubbish..
This episode really confused me. The guy just seemed to be like "oh, I forgot I'm dead".. like, what?

All this episode did was make me wish that Ash had actually captured the Haunter he met in Kanto..

I could imagine it now. "Oh, that's just a haunter. I had one a while back. They're really funny!"

Also, this episode is why I love Bonnie.

So him being constantly scared isn't what makes him a wuss; it's his sleeping position?
