In this scenario, you and your rival run into the villain somehow. It was you who previously annoyed the villain but it was your much stronger rival that pushed him into a corner. Both of you decided he needs to be stopped and in the heat of battle, the next time you see your rival, your absolutely shocked. Not only is your much stronger rival defeated but the villain stands with the entire landscape around him changed instantaneously! Perhaps his Pokemon scorched the entire grassy fields, that he froze the entire lakes or maybe his Pokemon destroyed an entire mountain. Regardless of what the villain did, your rival manage to push the villain in a corner and force him to show his true strength, strength so powerful that it changes the entire environment around him instantaneously and you? You are absolutely appalled that such an unbelievably strong trainer exists, a trainer whose strength probably even surpasses most of the Pokemon Champions. For the first time in your Pokemon journey, you think to yourself, "I can't beat him."

So what do you do, young trainer? Do you attempt to punish the evil-doer for his big bad evil plan to capture the boxart's legendary chicken? Do you attempt to save your unconscious jerk rival who is just ten inches away from the villain's location, knowing full well that this could be a trap. Or do you decide to finally test out that secret Joestar Techinque you've mastered ever since you've watched the JoJo anime series? What is the secret Joestar Technique you ask? It's a technique so powerful that the only thing you ever need is a pair of good strong legs and that is...

RUN AWAY!

With those being some of your only options, what do you and your Pokemon do in such a situation?

Use Max Revive on my strongest Pokemon and summon them immediately to put the villain in a hostage situation.
