I love school. I currently go to McLean County High School. Back in my first year, I was a special needs kid, I was treated more like an inmate than a student. My Freshman Year was absolutely horrible. The next year, I'm no longer an inmate, I started going to regular classes, and I started dancing regularly. This year, it's getting better, there's no longer aides in the classroom, I'm more social, I'm a better dancer, and I'm a more regular student.
Back in my old school district(Mayfield City), The students threaten me, there are gangs in that district(Despite being a small town and because Mayfield is the most racially diverse settlement in Kentucky), I was beaten up to near death by my teachers, and I was blamed for everything for no reason. Until we moved on October 26, 2000, when I was in 2nd Grade.
My new school district(McLean County), Almost everybody was white, the students are nicer to me, there are absolutely no gangs, my teachers trust me, and I was never to blame. I was on the regular bus until 2004, when I was in 5th Grade, I had to ride the special needs bus for the rest of my life. I'm still currently riding the short bus, until this spring or the first day of next year(2010-2011), I probably will ride the regular bus again just like every one of my friends in school(None of them are special needs kids). On my last 2 years of MCHS, I will be 100% regular student and I would go to college in 2012. And yes, I have an extra Sophomore Year.
Middle School was a violent nightmare and I never want to tell you about being a teacher-hating gangbanger.
That's my story about the school thread.
