Science behind real pokemon.

Will-powered Spriter

Pokédex Complete!
I know what your thinking, another "if pokemon was real" thread.
But hopefully this should get rid of most of them (exept maybe the ones about what you would train with).
3 catergories.

Just talk about your complex scientific theories, coment, or ask questions

If this breaks any rules, mods plz close it.

What do you think Munchlax/Snorlax is? Is it a Pokemonized version of Garfield? Cos it looks a bit like a cat, with those ears.
THat isn't science. Lets keep this as little spamy as possible. Because I have trouble reading lots of posts for good theories to coment on, this makes it harder. (PS Sceptillian. Your other posts are quite good, just this one is spam)

Most Pokémon would, I guess, evolve from the animals they are based on.

A Pikachu would have evolved from a pika after perhaps an electronic atmposhere due to increasing human technology.. or something.. and instead of killing them off, gradually adapted to use this to their envirnment advantage :p

The only problem I see with this is ones such as Espeon, who are based on Japanese legends

Interesting. I happen to be writing a book about "Pokemology", the fictitional science of studying Pokemon, from the POV of a Pokemon Prof. That's a lot of P's.

How do you think dragons can do electric/fire moves ?

Yeah, I think thats a better explanation. How do you suppose Dunsparce flies with such small wings?

A bee have small wings but a large body and they still fly.

Well, dragons are mythical beings, so they can probably harness the power of different elements...
Hmm, that's true but how can pokemon like Machamp use flamthrower/fire blast? or how can most normal types can learn fire/electric/water/ghost ?

You're all just asking questions. Boring
Well that's the point of thread isn't it, & you could have answered or sayed sometthing usefull insted of doing this.

I already did, thanks.

I want to know - what does a Relicanth eat? The only thing I can think of is seaweed, as the only other things that live in the deep are Clamperl and Chinchou.

Talking of Chinchou, I'm gathering it evolved its two electric antennai to stun its prey (Clamperl?) and swallow them whole

Hehe. Science, my best subject.

Dragon: They will certainly not be evolving from any current animals I tell you! Scientists, seeing the evolving animals-pokemon, will decide to create the Dragon type through geneitic egneering. Or, if the evolve naturally, they will evolve from reptiles which were forced into a quick mutation, i.e sprouting wings.

Fire: The fire breathing ones will most likely form a chemical inside the body, which is connected to the brain. Then when the brain says to set alight, they set alight. I have no idea what they'd evolve from, I tell you know!

Water: They will likely evolve from fish. The ones that can walk on water probaly followed a similar evolution pattern to our own, but with slight differences.

Electric: This one will be tricky. All I can think of is that they become mutated by nuclear energy. Instead of dieing, they also had a quick mutation and they begin feeding and using the nuclear energy.

Rock: This one shall be extremely difficult. The bacteria and germs that live off them would, like Electic types, be the poor victims of radiation. The high amount of minerals in their bodies would become entwined in their DNA pattern, making them have rock bodies.

Ground: Same as rock. It's my best theory.

Ghost: This? Hardest, no doubt about it. They will likely be nuetrinos that have had DNA strands entwined in their atomic structure, and the intense heat in the sun will cause some Nuclear Fusion. The nuetrinos will begin developing a nevous system until eventually, enough nuetrinios are close by to develop a body powerful enough to interact with pyschical bodies, which they can't do. This theory has no basis in science, but it's tghe best I can think of. It does include some scienetific things though.

Poison: Similair to the Rock/Ground theory. Toxins become entwined with the DNA structure, making them capable of creating even more toxins.

Steel: Same as Rock/Ground/Poison.

Dark: This shall include a theory of science, something that hasn't even been proved yet. Dark matter. It follows the same course Rock/Ground/Poison/Steel.

Pyschic: Radiation causes the mind abilties of these animals to be launched far beyond the usual capacities of their minds. Due to this the devolep pyschic abilites

Ice: Rock/Ground/Poison/Steel/Dark

Flying: Radiation deforms the DNA structure, and it begins rewiring itself into something that can withstand radiation.

Bug: Same as flying

Fighting: The opposite of Pyschic. It sends pyshical strength beyond the usual.

Grass: Rock/Ground/Poison/Steel/Dark/Ice

Normal: Natural evolution, with possible radiation

That was quick.
Anyway, I think fire types would secrete a gas that ignites on exposure to oxygen.

That theory wouldn't bode well. The moment the mouthy opens, i wpould let loose a large fireball, even if it didn't want to.

If any one wants to know my theory of a certain poke'mon, just PM. I'll post it up here so every one can see it

Many people critisize the third-generation Pokemon for being too much like Kanto Pokemon. There's actually an explanation: Since Hoenn is an isolated island, Pidgey or Caterpie didn't exist there. But since those niches needed to be filled, new Pokemon came into existence that were very similar.
