Scratch Treecko

Well, it's my first scratch sprite. I tried to base the head on my sprite similar to the RSE Sprite; outlining, shading, etc.

Criticism appreciated.

For a first try it's good but here are some helpful hints.
Try and make the arms look better. They look like they don't belong.
And for some reason to me the tail looks to dark.
Keep up the good work though :D

It's good for your first, but not without problems.

The tail's shades contrast too much to be dithered like that. Use either only a tiny bit, or none at all.

The right (our right) arm looks thicker than the left. If anything, it should be the opposite since the way it is shaded suggests that the left arm is in front of the right. Howeverm since it's such a small sprite, it should probably just have the two arms about the same.

The pose is also very stiff. In the future, try to use original, more action poses.

Let the zephyr blow.
I think the biggest problem is that the body seems very stiff. The left arm looks short and thin, and the other fat and long. The shading on the tail isn't very smooth. Its not bad though, better than alot of peoples I've seen recently.

Tastes like chicken!
Not bad for your first scratch, the shading on the tail looks a little too dark.
Like chaotic pink and Chaos emerald said it looks a little too stif, and the arms seem a little thick
Good for a first scratch though.

I tried to fix the dithering on the tail and lessen the thickness of the arm on the right. I also redid the left arm to try and make it so the body looked less stiff too. How does it look? I will keep working on the right arm though as it still looks slightly stiff to me.
