Scyther or Scizor? The Fast or The Furious.

I looked up Scyther's and Scizor's stats right now and the only difference is that Scizor takes 40 base stats out of Scyther's speed and puts 20 each into attack and defence. So which one would you rather have?

I believe Scizor is better than Scyther.

That 20 more Atk in its BASE stat actually does make a difference, a HUGE difference actually. That is like saying Blaziken's base 80 Speed isn't much different from Charizard's base 100 :/

Scizor gains a poison immunity as well as a few more resistances. Scizor is more durable. It also gains Iron Defense, which can be used to BP some defense to something like Gardevoir, Regice, or something who is higher SDef than Def. It can also learn Agility, so it can sweep just as well as Scyther(it won't need Swords Dance, its Atk is already really high).

However, they both aren't very good, due to their limited movepools. They get much better in D/P though, moveset-wise.

Depends

If your team is weak vs grass, or fighting, or even bug, go for syther.

Otherwise, I'd go with sicor. It's more durable, and can even be used as a great baton passer, with both swords dance, and agility.

I agree with ChaosCorruption. Scizor can eaisily defeat a Scyther even with Scyther's semi-uber speed.

Scizor would easily beat Scyther in a battle and it has higher attack I would want Scizor

Scizor is part steel and it learns good moves. Even though it has a bad speed stat. It also looks cooler than syther.

I like both pokemon alot, I truly do, but scizor is more usable in battle and has a slightly cooler look to it.

Scyther. Because of its stabd Aerial ace and silver wind and scizors go down very easily to a common type with its 4x weakness to fire. Scythers speed also helps for swords dancing then attacking whereas with scizor you might not always get the first shot. ;123;
