Searing Sun Doubles Subway Team

Okay, thinking ahead for when I hit the Doubles Subway, and have decided to try out some weather. This is a planned team at this moment, as I don't yet have access to the 10,000+ points in the Dream World yet, but working on it. Item help would be huge too. I'm providing 6 here, but obviously only need 4 for the Doubles Subway.

Ninetales - Fire
Ability: Drought
Nature: Timid/Modest
Item:
EVs: 252 SpAtt/252 Spd/4 HP
Fire Blast
Solarbeam
Psyshock
?????

The obvious core of the team. Not sure what to use for a 4th move though.

Tangela - Grass
Ability: Leaf Guard
Nature: Modest
Item: Eviolite
EVs: 252 HP/...
Solarbeam
Ancientpower
Leech Seed
Stun Spore/Sleep Powder

Tangela is a nice wall with Eviolite, plus immunity to Status Ailments in the sun. Not alot of coverage in his moves, but he'll do nicely, and has some annoyance built in too. Not sure if I want Paralyze or Sleep though.

Sunflora - Grass
Ability: Solar Power/Early Bird (Dream World)
Nature: Modest
Item: Leftovers/??????
EVs: 252 HP/252 SpAtt/4 ???
Solarbeam
??????/Earth Power (Dream World)
Leech Seed
Synthesis

Sunflora, not an immediate choice you'd think of. Sadly I can't pair Earth Power, it's DW ability with it's normal Solar Power ability, as awesome as it would be. So, if I go Solar Power, would need to find a different move, and if I go Earth Power, I could use a different item, since the Leftovers is there to counter the damage of Solar Power.

Exeggutor - Grass/Psychic
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Modest
Item:
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpAtt/252 Spd
Solarbeam
Psyshock
Synthesis
Ancientpower

A little extra coverage with the STAB Psyshock, just takes a bit of breeding for the moveset through Tangela (who can be bred for Synthesis and learns Ancient Power).

Rotom-H - Electric/Fire
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
Item:
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpAtt/252 Spd
Discharge
Overheat
Shadow Ball
Charge Beam/Volt Switch

The oven brings some diverse coverage, and will turn ANYTHING that is even neutral to Fire with Overheat. Discharge helps nice in Doubles, and with Tangela in the sun, won't do much to my side. Shadow Ball for coverage some. Charge Beam is for the Special Attack bump, Volt Switch gives quick changes post-Overheat.

Sawsbuck - Normal/Grass
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Item: Expert Belt
EVs: 4 HP/252 Att/252 Spd
Horn Leech
Return
Jump Kick
Megahorn

The physical muscle of the sun team. Horn Leech for STAB Grass and recovery. Return for the penalty-free Normal STAB. Jump Kick to cover a bunch, and Megahorn to hit a pile more.

So, any pointers, from items to use, EVs to change, moves to change, to which 4 to use, would be awesome. I am already thinking that 2-3 of them are locked in right now.

Note: It's in-game, not dealing with IVs or Hidden Power use, so please don't suggest it.

Seems like an over-reliance on Grass types. I know it's a Sun team, but any quick Ice or Fire or Bug Pokés will steamroll through half of those without blinking.

If you want a tough Grass Poké, drop Tangela or Sunflora and put in Ferrothorn. Bulk him up nice and give him a strong stalling moveset. Throw on Leech Seed, Power Whip, Gyro Ball, Thunder Wave and give him Leftovers. Just make sure to watch for anything that will use Fire, as he will roast in a split second.

Sawsbuck is a reasonable choice, mainly due to having some good covering moves.

I'd consider adding an Espeon to the mix, giving some extra moves and replacing Eggsecutor. With Morning Sun, it'd be able to eat up damage, especially if Leech Seed is already set up and it's carrying Leftovers.

Anyway, the main overall problem is weakness. Aside from Ninetails and Rotom, all of the others share the same common weaknesses, without any increase in coverage or diversity. The benefits of Chlorophyll and Leaf Guard just aren't worth it in comparison.

Yeah, trust me, I saw alot of that when making it.

But from what I've understood looking at them, most Weather teams tend to play high-risk/high-reward.

Rain Teams - Boost a ton of Water Pokemon, but makes Thunder, easily one of their most devastating moves to be hit by, as reliable as Thunderbolt.

Sun Teams - Boost a ton of Grass Pokemon, but makes Fire moves roast even harder.

Sandstorm Teams and Hail Teams are less risky in that aspect, as they aren't boosting move usability that smashes their exact weakness.

That part I've come to expect.

If I had to pick 4 of the 6 (Doubles Subway), I'd almost ideally takes Nintales, Rotom-H, Tangela, and Sawsbuck. Whether this team would move into Super Doubles, would be up to chance.

Sunflora's main interest to me was for Earth Power + Solar Power, which isn't possible. And Exeggcutor only brings 1 extra move over Tangela (Psyshock), while making his Bug weakness 4x.

The thing with Weather teams is to get as many improvements for your Pokés while minimizing weakness, which means going outside typings. Like I suggested, Pokés that benefit greatly from the sun should be used, not just Grass.

For example, Espeon/Umbreon both have benefits to your team and love the sun, as do things like Ground, Fire or Rock Pokémon, who benefit from Water moves being 50% less powerful.
