Secret Base Confusion

Today in class i mixed records with my friend and i wasnt able to battle him in his secret base can someone explain.Ive been in his base but he talks about random crap i dont care about.If someone can explain i would be very gratefull.Thanks in Advance.

you have to beat the elite four if you want to battle him. hapened to me too.

Did your friend beat the Elite Four? If so, that could be a cause too.

If you mix rebords with another person in the same secret base as your other friend, then it'll be overwritten iirc. And you have to beat the E4 before you can do a secret base battle.
