Secret Base Trainer Question

One year ago, I fought 2 of my friends in their secret bases. I beat them and i couldnt fight them again.

Yesterday, I revisited them, and they both were willing to battle me. I refused.

From what I thought, you could only fight secret base trainsers once and only ONCE unless you re-mix records with them (which I havent)

My question:

Do Secret Base Trainers become re-fightable after 24 hours? if not, how long? Is it even possible to refight SB trainers? Has my Ruby Version experienced a glitch!

HELP!

Yes, you can refight them.

Why would people make Gardevoir- and EV-bases otherwise?

If you mix records the bases gets updated if you have already registred them.
