seedot's egg move's

yesterday i was playing emerald and i was checking out a news report about a rare swarm of seedot on route 102 and when i got there i caught a few and when i checked its stats and knew leech seed but when i checked it on the serebii pokedex and it said leech seed is one of it's egg moves is it possible to catch a pokemon that knows one of its egg moves or it just a glitch

the swarms semm to throw up odd moves, but its not a glitch
