Yeah it is to me! I would rther play pokemon TCG for a whole day then play a stupid Sonic/Shadow game for one minute... now thats saying something.

Not really. Just one opinion that playing a card game rather than a certain videogame doesn't make Sonic/his friends/enimies whatever un-original. WHERE have you ever seen what Gravy described before? Now Final Fantasy things...magic, fantasy, combat...THATS unoriginal. I am not implying anywhere that FF is a bad game, just saying, you need to reverse what you said in that one post.
Sonic the hedgehog is one of the most original things in the video gaming world, but FF.....

The point was that Sonic's by far more original than Final Fantasy is. The whole group of people getting together to save the world-bit has been done to death. Sonic is the ORIGINAL in platform gaming and actually started something. Recent Final Fantasies..not much can be said about 'em now a days, other than they're REALLY starting to look like they're only made as fan service.Minun's Flash said:

Did anybody else notice the logo? I'll try and find a picture of it, but somehow I think Sonic Team aren't telling us the whole story about this game..
If you turn the logo upside down, the weird bit on the end looks so much like a 3 it's disturbing.
and did anybody else see the poll on the official website a few weeks back, asking which character you'd like to see in their own game? Somehow I don't think they knocked that together in a few weeks. This whole Shadow thing is going to be, like, one part of Sonic Adventure 3.

Final Fantasy is original along with Star Ocean and Kingdom Hearts. Square Enix will always make better games then the sh*tty a*sed Sega. ^^ other then that whats special about it..?

Dude, once again. Final Fantasy is NOT ORIGINAL. Not anymore. Sonic, however, IS. And good lord, you're using RECENT games to compare to an old series. You're comparing a TOTALLY DIFFERENT GENRE WITH ANOTHER. That's like comparing a FPS to a puzzle game.

Umm...Please explain to me how FF is 'original' if there are the above games you just stated? *cough*You said Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean, and Final Fantasy are ALL original. How is that possible if they are all the same? Jeez, here ya go (click) .

My only complaint with the direction of Sonic games is that they have left their original 2D side-scrolling format. Of course, so did Mario and it hasn't been a bad move. Atleast Sega Sammy is being creative for once and trying to make something different for the Sonic universe. That, by definition, is original.

Minun's Flash, take my advice. Go out, rent or, failing that, buy Sonic Mega Collection (it only costs twenty bucks or less), and don't say another word on this thread until you try out the games on that. The one I'd most recommend is Sonic 3 & Knuckles, which requires a bit of unlocking (start and quit Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles 20 times each). But if you don't want to go through that trouble (trust me, though, it's worth it), I recommend Sonic 1-3 and Sonic & Knuckles, which are all available from the start.
hmm.... I noticed Final Fantasy I-VI and IX weren't mentioned. If you liked those ones, let me personally complement you on your good taste. I find it real sad that Final Fantasy IX went back to the series' roots after all these years, and all the blinded VII and VIII fanboys had to go and senselessly bash it. In my opinion, that was my second favorite to FFVI. But because of simple-minded majorities, we just keep getting more and more of FFVII, VIII, X, and X-2's characters shoved down our throats. Square-Enix is even making a party game mixing Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest characters, and after looking on the Japanese website, it seemed they didn't have any character from FFVI and below. That really annoys the hell out of me. Come on, it's a cutesy game, don't you think they could stick in an Onion Knight or Relm or something? No, apparently, they think Cloud and Payne are more suited for a cutesy game role than they are. Come on Square-Enix, stop acting like those installments never existed already.
Let it be known, I don't completely hate any installment of Final Fantasy or Sonic, they are each enjoyable to play in one way or another, but I do of course prefer some over others, and I'm just as annoyed as everyone else that VII-XI (minus IX) are over-rated to death.

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago. It probably will be on all 3 systems since its similar to Sonic Heroes, but the Gun thing makes Shadow look weak.

Besides agreeing with the person who says the Gun should be shrunk in the final release, I kinda gotta point something out.
A friend of mine showed me the Trailer that is unlocked in Onimusha 1 about Onimusha 2. Then he showed me the actual game. Jubei (sp?) looks nothing like the one in the Trailer on Onimusha 1 (he looked like a Pirate in the Trailer!).
This is an example that maybe, some things will be fixed/changed in the final release. Perhaps this is just to show some of the Game?
What about the Zelda movie that had adult Link and then it was not used and he was changed in the actual game?
I have a feeling that the "Gliding on Air" instead of the regular "Booster Running" is gonnabe fixed in the final game, along with a (possible) Gun shrink. And maybe they'll let you shoot while running. The environment always gets a touch-up when the game is finalized, or it should anyway.
All I'm hoping is that this game better explain the whole Biological/Android issue that Sonic Heroes is not very clear on. The rest will most deffinitely get sorted out.......I hope.

Oh and the thing about the Environment, yea it's too Adventure like. Might get fixed, though.
It seems to me like the Shoes are made to let him Float like Booster Rockets while he shoots, meaning that while he shoots he gets unlimited air time. I wonder what happens if he gets hit while floating and shooting...
Oh and in some parts he seems to be moving with his Feet back. I think that's when he got launched by one of the ever present launchers on roads.
