Alan turning to the good side and Ash being free was too short and kind of rushed. Funny on how the Grunt tried to say Manon "had" to go with him by Lysandre's orders when in reality she was going to be a hostage + bait to keep Alan on his leash. I feel like something's gonna happen to her...

They also can't defeat/battle Lysandre all in one episode especially when there are many more episodes to come. The Lumiose Gym Takedown episode is going to be the focus in episode 41 but there are going to be other events happening. Recovery of Hari san episode anyone? He isn't going to wake up and feel much better than usual just because Ash defeated Lysandre. The writers will find another way for Alan to angst. What if that Mega Shiny Gyrados tries to eat Manon, who's gonna save her now that she's fish food.

Say bye bye to your Mega Stone/Ring Alan. It wasn't yours to keep anyway.

Well, I'm glad that Manon did not fall for the trick, and Sycamore managed to stop him from taking Manon. Hari-san would probably be recovered maybe after TF is defeated. The only way Hari-San can get better is Zygarde (specifically Puni-Chan) since it caused him to become comatose.

After seeing the second preview, I feel satisfied. Alain's pedestal has crumbled to bits. He realizes that he's a made a grave mistake and is about to pay dearly for it.

I still have my headcanon, which doesn't change too much, but this is good. It makes Alain seem like more of a human for realizing his faults and such. Although, I am curious as to why Ash and the gang got released so soon. My guess is that trying to unleash Ash and Greninja's Bond Phenomenon ends up pulling the rug out from Lysandre's feet as they manage to free themselves and then the others.

I wouldn't mind Alain saving them, but I think it stands to reason that Ash and Greninja should free themselves with their own power in order to prove that they don't need his help. (Even though they'll get it...)

Yeah, Lysandre would've pushed her off the Prism Tower and Alan would have to save her had he got ahold of Manon. I'm guessing once Puni chan and Z2's energy is gone or they are teleported somewhere else, Hari san will get much better.

I like this prediction. I don't think this isn't the first where he freed himself from tight bonds.

I'm kind of intrigued in what sort of role TR will be playing through this, it looks like they might be going through all sorts of past skills (with them warning the city through their reporter skills and now escorting Manon in some manner, being the only main characters apt to vehicles), and they don't seem to be taking off their costumes any time soon either.

I remember once theorising in a jokey way how TR would fare in a costume superhero arc to get their 'good' buzz out of the way. This looks like it sort of leans in that area, with the three posing as strangers and playing loads of parts in helping the heroes save the day incognito (I'm hoping we get a token badass Meowth battle like we did in the previous regions, or at least use Wobbuffet effectively one more time, or maybe James will lend more 'Jeeves-esque' words of wisdom).

It is good to see TR do something good. It's probably the first time since the Pokemon Movie 2000 that they helped somehow. This is also the first time that they are doing it in costumes. Now don't get me wrong, TRio has tricked the heroes many times, but I don't think they are doing it in this episode. The TF arc just got very serious and I'm loving it.

Well they've done plenty of enemy mines in the series (admittedly the movies sidelined them after that though). They actually did a lot of the work in both the Team Plasma finale and the Evil Malamar episodes (especially the second one). The costume situation is an interesting take however (it was used briefly in the summer camp arc when they worked as a rescue team however). I like this recurring element that whenever the trio put on their costumes they are unrecognisable as helpful badass people compared to the annoying nobodies they're treated like as villains. The Jeeves incident was another cool take on this.

While the anime has always toyed with how hopeless or accomplished TR is, I think XY has really enjoyed playing off of it.

I myself never really saw him as being on a 'pedestal' in the first place hee hee. He was never quite flawless or a 'Stu' either from my perspective since we've known about his errors in judgement for a while now and they're a big part of his character and something that I'm glad we'll see be resolved now. :3

While nice to have more preiews, it still doesn't tell us anything new. Then again, the episode comes up soon anyway. Looking forward to how it unfolds and what Alain will do after being down.

Yeah, this preview doesn't really tell us much, but again, I do look forward to watching this episode tomorrow. I really want to see how Ash gets freed and how Alain is going to respond.

What this tells us is that we will get to see a bit of Lysandre vs Ash and not end off in a stare-down cliffhanger like most of us thought.

Ash vs Lysandre starting to develop at the end of the episode. Yeah, I see Pikachu using his powerful thunderbolt to battle Lysandre. Would Alain help out as well? I would think so after seeing that Ash gets freed. Let's hope he doesn't just stand there.

This looks great, they're also using that Ash-Greninja animation they did from Diantha episode. I can't wait to see who Pikachu and Ash-Greninja are batting as well. I wonder if Lysandre will say anything to Ash about Ash-Greninja while Alain is there too.

The hype is real. Xerosic firing on Squishy, Alain breaking down, Ash and Greninja being forced to utilize the Bond Phenomenon, Lysandre preparing to battle the heroes, and Zygarde against Zygarde all look to be exciting scenes that could place this villainous team arc as the best of the series.

I'm pretty sure it already outdid Plasma, Magma/Aqua, and Team Rocket in terms of evil plots. This is amazing to watch. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Don't worry.

She'll say the same line to Alain when he confronts her.

This will be followed by Alain meeting Aria, who will fall in love and become the true power couple- Kalos Champion & Kalos Queen. Who were the protagonists of this show, again? :p
