If Ash catches Aerodactyl, he has absolutely no chance of capturing Zapdos so I hope he doesn't

What kind of weird connection is that? I’m not seeing how those two are even remotely connected. In all honesty if anyone is catching Aerodactyl this episode it will most likely be Goh considering he is the one to find the Old Amber.

What's weird about it? everyone knows Ash doesn't catch any pokemon after just recently catching one

Except back in X&Y he caught Fletchling in the following episode right after he had caught Froakie.

Plus I wouldn’t put to much stock into the whole idea that Ash can’t get captures in back to back episodes considering that after Ash got Riolu some people thought it was unlikely that Ash would get a pure fighting type Pokémon like Galarian Farfetch’d as his next capture and yet it happened.

Big difference is that he caught fletchling as his 2nd caught pokemon in the early episodes while catching aerodactyl would be his 5th and zapdos as his 6th if ever he does meaning no more slots for potential galar pokemon as he is given only few catches per generation

That doesn’t really mean much considering that he has gotten more then 6 captures before. Plus considering where in a series where Ash can catch past gen Pokémon and get a Dragonite as his 1st capture in episode 10, trying to say that he will only catch 5 or 6 Pokémon doesn’t mean much.
