Dazzling Gleam is called Magical Shine in Japanese, you're seeing a connection where there isn't one.

The Japanese word is 幻惑. As previously mentioned;

This is a pretty good definition of what 幻惑 means. "Dazzle" is by far the most common translation of the word.

Definition 2 there is the primary meaning of 幻惑, though it can mean definition 1 as well.

Not necessarily as it could wind up referring to a 2nd part of Leon vs Diantha battle and then the Ash vs Cynthia battle would be Semifinals III & IV respectively.


Either way the episode title doesn’t really given any indication to how many episodes each semifinal battle will last.
