Cynthia's Garchomp was hyped ever since DP days so unless Ash does something that can be understood(if the anime staff can pull something like that out)by fans in order to beat it, people will always complain.
i actually was surprised that people understood Ash's Lycanroc using Counter against Gladion's Lycanroc's Counter and barely complained about it because it cannot be done in the games.

Does it confirm each Semi will have 2 Episodes and this is part I of Ash vs Cynthia while Dazzle is part II of Leon vs Diantha?

Especially if the lost is per usual where he seems to be struggling for a bit and before Lucario faces Mega Garchomp and she finally meets her match he just sweeps her quickly

Um, not really. If they were really giving it the total respect it deserves, there would have been a reserve or three here, and it would've been an Infernape - Garchomp finale and not more Lucario shilling pushed down our throats.

Also, general rule of the thumb with JN, never get excited too early.

After all the credit Diantha got with her strategy against Lance she's still gonna lose to Leon in one episode.
the anime staff really wants to get battles done with only using sheer force(no pun intended)as seen in Cynthia VS Iris.
