• Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

We need a thread that we can say what pokemon should be tested for lower or higher tiers. Debating won't work, we need evidence. In addition, it has to be general.

No. Everybody has time to read the rules, because they are not optional. If you do not read the rules, you end up getting banned. If you don't have time to read them, I suggest you find time and do so.

I think there should be an official thread to request avatars, perhaps with the option of providing images. That said, there should be more manga icons. The ones that there are seem to be quite popular, so why not branch that out some more?

I know a certain mod made a whole bunch some time ago, but Serebii only used a handful, which seemed rather rude.

With the usual rules, no porn, no flaming, and such.
An example of a thread would be 'SPAM thread'
There, post what they want, even something like ......................

I'm probably just paranoid but internet stalkers really creep me out and these post finding buttons just make it creepier...

this is a suggestion about the new giratina forms: if they were planned before, wouldnt they be in the code for pokemon battle revolution already? and therefore, wouldnt it be possible to see the new forms before they are announced?

Maybe have badges to show that they're important members of sppf, and did things like write guides and stuff, under their name. The mods of each forum could choose some members to give them to for some recognition for their contributions. To give a more decent way of showing rank and who knows what they're doing. Just a suggestion.

Hmm, sounds good on paper, but I can see members trying to write guides in order to get recognition, or other members using it as a reaosn to mini-mod or act elitist. Moderatrs of forums know who the 'important' (not really the best word to use. Respectable, well-informed or capable would be better, but they are also a little to generalised) members are, and the majority of members who frequent those forums do too.

Right, other matters. Serebii has responded to some of the suggestions put forth from the old topic, so I've updated the first page with the responses.

This might sound strange but I think you should take this into consideration

it's not about the server

I think there should be an area for new threads becuase I have two threads that have no posts and one has only 2 VIEWS but if you put a topic for new threads then they might never get a post

(that's probably because you put them in the far middle where noone notices it

Maybe give infractions to people who ask for them and give them as "medals" to people who have done their part. They're still regular members, but have been given due recognition for outstanding work here. Like Coronis and all her work on the Manga summaries.

Anyone worthy of one of these badges is ALSO known for properly obeying the forum's rules.

I don't know if this already exisits but there should be a trading thread where the people offer their extra eggs from breeding pokemon. They shouldn't ask for high leveled/rare/shiny Pokemon because the person receiving the egg wouldn't know what would be in it.

Advanced Critique/Discussion Art Sub-Forum

The art forum has lost a number of great artists over the years, some of them I've talked to and one of their reasons for leaving was they didn't like how people ignored critique.

Not everyone in the forum of recent responds well to critique and for those of us who like giving it... it becomes difficult to want to say anything because we are unsure if it will offend/cause drama/etc.

Harder critique could be reserved for a sub-forum like that and that wouldn't have so much drama in it.

If the thread starter acted up and was rude in response to critique their thread could be locked and that'd be the end of it.

Thoughts?
