Rules/Regulations
This has to run on a strict deadline system, if you miss any of your matches during the 2 week period it counts as a loss for both participants, unless I am given a valid reason for the match not being played. This brings me on to holidays, if you are going away for two weeks or something this can be accounted for, if you want to miss a season this can be accounted for, but any longer than a month of absence will (unfortunately) have to result in a dismemberment from the league, as otherwise it will make the league impossible to keep up with. This brings me neatly onto THE RULES:

  • Species Clause
  • Evasion Clause
  • Sleep Clause
  • OHKO Clause (Self OHKO for a draw is allowed)
  • No Illegal Hacks, legit are acceptable (but discouraged) / Ubers / Hax Items
  • A disconnection counts as a loss with 0 points
  • Legendaries are discouraged by the points system
  • If you use 2 of skarmory, blissey cresselia your pts for a win will go down by 2
  • If you use 3 of skarmory, blissey, cresselia your pts for a win will go down by 4
  • You must be able to check this page 3 times a week to see for updates
  • If there is any reason why you cannot keep to any of these rules, I should be notified
  • If you don't reply to someone who has been trying to arrange a battle by the deadline, the non-responsive person loses
  • If you dont' respond to 3 of your 4 matches in a season you are out

Hello and welcome to the Serebii Premier League. This is a league designed to incorporate people of all walks of the “pokemoning” profession, it has a unique format that will allow us to have people of differing abilities competing in the same competition:

Points System:

  • Lose – 10 points
  • Draw – 20 points
  • Win – (No. of Legendaries in Team x 3) + (No. of OUs x 5) + (No. of BLs x 6) + (No. of UUs x 7)

Uber Legendaries (Banned): Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys, Deoxys Attack, Deoxys Defence, Dialga, Groudon, Giratina, Lugia, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Latios, Latias, Manaphy, Mewtwo, Mew, Palkia, Wobbufet - Yes i still call it Uber

OU Legendaries (3 Points): Zapdos, Suicune, Celebi, Azelf, Heatran, Jirachi, Cresselia, Deoxys Speed - Yes i do class this as OU not Uber

Any Other Tier Legendaries get the usual amount of Points from their Tier These are: Articuno, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Phione, Uxie, Mesprit, Regigigas, Shaymin, Rotom - Yes i count it as legendary

I feel that this points system adds an element of risk into the league to make it more interesting, obviously if you play an OU team you would get 30 points, so it would follow the pattern. I put legendaries lower to avoid cresselia, heatran and celebi abuse, which I see reasonably often these days. Each team will announce the pokemon team of 6 that they will use during each “season”

At the end of each season we will need to sort out relegation and promotion, the person who is at the top of each league gets automatically promoted to the league above and the person who is at the bottom of each league gets automatically relegated. The person in 4th place plays the person in 2nd place in the league below. The winner goes in the higher league and the loser goes to the lower league, these are the playoffs.

This league will run in seasons, the amount of seasons is indefinite, but you are perfectly welcome to step out at any point, although the end of the season would be the most sensible place to do it. Each season will be split into 3 periods:

  • The first two matches (lasting 2 weeks)
  • The second two matches (lasting 2 weeks)
  • One week for playoffs and general administrative stuff, such as adding new leagues, people leaving/joining

no hacked pokemon, ie no pokemon with illegal movesets/abilities, just no hacked pokemon, the only moves htat are banned are OHKO moves, and evasion movves, also look at the sleep clause as well, only 1 pokemon is allowed to be asleep so it is illegal to use a sleeping move if one of the opponants pokemon is already asleep, status moves etc are perfectly welcome

I noticed a bit of a problem. When will the deadline for the first battles be? I have finals starting the 14th and ending the 26th I believe. So that period I will be basically out of battling. I might be able to sneak in some Shoddy occasionally, but not a lot.

ALso guys, it's nice to keep active if possible, I'm not imposing any rules on this but a post every so often would be nice, just to keep this going until the start date, thanks very much!
