Serebii's Pokémon Legends: Arceus Discovery Thread

The new game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is out this week and as usual we will be covering the game in full as soon as we can.

Although it seems that practically everything was revealed before launch through leaks and other such methods, this thread will have all the minor things I discover as playing through the game, which may not necessarily warrant posting directly on the site, though keep an eye there too as sections will be updated.

Be warned as this will, of course, contain spoilers

Arceus gives you a speech and takes your phone. You wake up near Laventon and the three starters
He will check on you and his Pokémon will run off. He'll ask you to help round them up. When you do, you#'ll find your Arc Phone
Find the Pokémon and he'll ask you to catch them giving a demo

He will ask you to join him in the village and you'll meet Akari/Rei and will learn he wants you in the Survey Corps. Cyllene will appear and agree if you show your worth. You'll be given lodgings and are told to sleep

In the morning you need to go to Cyllene to see what the task is, which is to catch a Starly, Shinx and Bidoof. Laventon will offer you a Pokémon to help. I chose Rowlet

Before you leave, Akari/Re will be chatting with Volo who will talk to you and suggest a battle. He has a Togepi

Bidoof is the first catch, then Starly, then Shinx. When the trial is done, you'll be returned to the village. You'll get the outfit and be told to report to the Commander for the next task. Kamado will introduce himself to you and will fully qwelcome you into the survey corps

Next mission is to learn how to craft

Next mission after that is to learn how to complete Research tasks so you go to the OBsidian Fieldands


After completing tasks, report to Cyclene to get ranked up

Rank 1 lets you use Heavy Balls and Lv. 20 and up obey

After that, Akari will ask for your help with a task from Mai from the D Clan but first asks for your help at the training ground where she will battle

After that you'll meet Zisu who helps you with moves

She'll tell you to meet Mai on Aspiratio Hill

Leave and Volo will appear and tell you about Back Strikes and how they increase chance of catch

Mai will challenge you to a battle and say you can help. Head to Deertrack Heights and you'll face the first Alpha, a Kricketune

Defeat it and a new base camp will be made, the Heights Camp

After you will learn of a Kleavor attacking people after being hit by lightning

Next morning Adaman and Irida will both be at the village and arguing. They'll inform abouit Kleavor and you'll be enlisted to help

Bagin will increase your bag size

As you leave, Volo will appear

Get to the end of the area to the GrandTree Arena and you'll find Lian who will challenge you. Defeat him and he will accept your help alongside Irida. Go back to Laventon and he will take you back to his lab to think about how to calm Kleavor

Go to leave and you'll find Mai who will have news, but she takes you to the Heights Camp to learn of it. When there, Adaman and Wyrdeer are present

Go back there and barttle Irida to prove your worth. Then defeat Kleavor using Balms and battles. You will get the Insect Plate

Return to the village and you'll find Volo, he reacts to the plates you have

Rank 2 lets you use Feather Balls and Pokémon up to 30 obey

Vessa will arrive and tell you of a spirit that was sealed but is now unsealed. She gives you the Odd Keystone and asks you to find the spirits and seal them in

Next, Arezu will appear and say she's on the way to Kamado. Go see them and they will talk about how an Ursaluna has also succomed and requests your help. You need to go to the Crimson Mirelands to find Ursaluna's Warden in Solaceon Ruins. Go to leave and Akari/Rei will want to challenge you. They will then mention strange space-time distortions that appear

In Solaceon Ruiins you will meet Calaba of the Pearl Clan and her Bibarel. She will dismiss you and your help. Volo will then arrive and challenge you. Defeat him and he'll ask your help retrieving a Wall Fragment that got stolen from the ruins

nvestigate the first camp and a trio of people will appear; Charm, Clover and Coin, the Miss Fortune sisters. Defeat them and you'll get the Wall Fragment

Go to the Sludge area and you will have to battle Ursaluna to calm it down. Do it and you'll be able to ride Ursaluna. It can dig for treasure

Go back to the camp and Laventon will notice an Unown behind you. It will run off. He'll add a Unown Notes to your dex. Back at the village Akari will say you need to go to Komodo's office where Adaman is

They will explain that Lilligant is in a frenzy and that Arezu kept it from them and they suspect she enraged Ursaluna to occupy you. You suggest using Ursaluna to find Arezu

Find her and she will have sprained her ankle after being chased by a Pokémon. Adaman and Calaba will arrive and Calaba will help Arezu while Adaman will meet you at Brava Arena

Get there and Adaman will be waiting with Arezu and Calaba soon followng. It's time to take on Hisuian Lilligant.

Head back and Volo will meet you at the base and congratulate you on quelling another Frenzied Noble. Head back to Galaxy

Third Star = Level 40, can use Great Balls

When you leave, Arezu will say she is now working at the hairdressers. Then Kamado will come and bring you to Prelude Beach and talk about how the village is growing. Akari will then come and mention Irida is there

He will send you to the Cobalt Coastlands where there is no Noble, but people are now seeing strange figures on ts island and some are being attacked by a ghost

Go to leave and Lian will tell you about Evolution Stones

Irida will be at the Coastland and will play her flute but will then battle you. Head to the next area

At the top of the area you will find the warden Palina and her Growlithe. She will explain how their Noble got lost and swept out to sea to save its pup. She will suggest going to see Iscan. When there, you'll find Volo. After that, Iscan will say to get Basculegion's help, you need to get its food and power it up with Dusclops' Dark Pulse and to get Dusclops at night in the nearby area

Go give Basculegion the food and it will become a ride Pokémon. The Miss Fortune Sisters will then appear to take the Growlithe and succeed using Gengar requiring you to chase after

Apologies, I keep neglecting posting and getting wrapped up, but don't fret I still have my notes I'm taking for it :)


Go to FireSpit Island and Iscan will join you. Climb the mountain to their camp and beat all 3. Palina and Growlithe will soon follow and Growlithe will make a stand only to evolve into Arcanine but a disturbance will arise and hit Arcaine. You take an exit and Irida arrives and they make some balms and you have to fight Arcanine. Calm it and return to Kamado

4 Star = Level 50, can use Leaden Balls

Kamado will congratulate you. The next day, Ingo from Black & White appears and tells you Kamado is waiting for you. He says to go to Coronet Highlands to quell Electrode. Melli, the warden, appears, unhappy that you've been asked to help. Adaman insists you come out to battle him

Cyllene will then talk tto you and tell you to meet Ingo at the training ground where he is with Irida. irida explains Ingo is the warden for Sneasler and explains how he appeared from nowhere with no memory. He will join you to Coronet

When you get to the entrance, Melli will insist you face a trial first and battle himand insists that the frenzy should be allowed

Ingo says you need to go through Wayward Cave to find Sneasler. Follow him through and you'll find the torches have been removed. When you find them, Ingo says he'll put them back

You'll then have to battle Melli and when done, go to the Ancient Quarry. Volo will soon appear


Climb up further and find Ingo at the base of cliffs. Ingo will ask for a battle. Defeat him and Sneasler will appear and will join you as a ride Pokémon to climb the cliffs

When at the top you will find Melli who challenges you again. Defeat him and Adaman appears and he will give you the balms to take on Electrode

Return to Kamado and he'll congratulate you on a completed mission. The next day Adman and Irida will await at your lodgings and take you to Kamado's office. He will tell you of the final noble, Avalugg and give you the mission and it's time to go to the Alabastar Icelands. Cyllene will then be accosted by a Wurmple and tell you you need to be Rank 5 to continue


Cyllene gives Wing Balls at 5 Star and up to 65

Akari and Laventon are waiting by the exit with Laventon showing concern. Akari challenges you again. Defeat her and you'll then head there where Adaman and Irida will join you.

Head into the Icelands and you'll find them and the warden Gaeric who will question why you want to calm Avalugg's frenzy. He will battle you

Defeat him and Adaman says you need to get Braviary to find the Eternal Ice for Avalugg and to find someone called Sabi who is towards Snowpoint Temple, but she soon appears. She will say she will help if you can catch her and flies off. Chase her and she will send you towards Snowpoint Temple

Get to Snowpoint Temple and Sabi will have opened the door and you must succeed in the trial abouit the statues. Press the panels in the right order

Reach the top and Sabi will appear and will challenge you. Defeat her and prove your strength to Braviary on the roof of the temple by battling it. Defeat it and it will help you out

Head to the Arena and you'll see Volo who will give you some tips for facing Avalugg. Face it to calm it down

Sorry, neglected posting again

after returning, Kamado will congratulate you and say how things will go normal in the next day. However, the next day a loud bang is heard and the sky is the wrong colour. The break in the sky above Coronet is growing. Cyllene says you are to report to the commander's office where he accuses you of being responsible. He says you can't be trusted but says you have to prove yourself and solve the situation. You are banished from Jubilife. Cyllene accompanies you to the Fieldlands camp

Akari and Laventon say he's overreacting and will fight it. They recommend you take refuge with the Pearl and Diamond clans and see Lian first who then sends you to find Mai who also can't help

Volo then appears, having been looking for you and offers his help and takes you to the Ancient Retreat where he introduces you to Cogita. She suggests going to each lake and facing the trials to get a Red Chain to fix the problem

When you exit, an Abra will appear with a letter from Cyllene saying she's worked a way for you to use their pastures and base camps in the interim. Irida and Adaman then follow and offer their help. Pick which one you want to help and they'll join you to the lakes

At Lake Verity you'll find them by a rock. Your Arc Phone will then open the rock wall and inside you'll find an Alpha Hisuian Goodra. Defeat or catch it and Mesprit will appear. Answer its questions and you'll get Mesprit's Plume

You'll return to Cogita who will talk more about the myths and says the Red Chain must be real


Heading to Lake Acuity next

Outside you'll meet Volo and Adaman/Irida and your Arc Phone will open the cave again. Inside you'll face a trial pitting you against an Alpha Zoroark. Defeat or catch it and Uxie will appear with your trial asking you for a question about Pokémon's eyes; 60131. You'll get Uxie's Claw and go back to see Cogita

Finally to Lake Valor

Once again the phone opens the cave and inside you will find an Alpha Overqwil. Catch or defeat it and Azelf will appear. Its challenge is to throw balms but not give up

With the three elements in tow, head to the shrouded ruins to meet Cogita. Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie will appear and forge the Red Chain.

Once done, Volo says that Kamado has taken a force up Mt. Coronet to face the rift. You rush back to Jubilife Village where Akari sees you and goes to get Laventon and Cyllene. You fill them in on the Red Chain and how it can stop the problem. Cyllene sends yo to Mt. Coronet with the Red Chain to stop Kamado and solve the problem

Climb the Mountain and you will find Beni, the restaurant owner. He will challenge you to a battle to stop you as he has been waiting

Defeat him and head to to the temple of Sinnoh, but you have to beat Kamado first.

When there, the leader you picked will hear the Legendary talk to them and say it must be caught. Dialga/Palkia will appear, Lv. 65 and have to be caught

When caught, another Pokémon appears. It's Palkia/Dialga. You regroup at the Base Camp. Adaman/Irida will telly ou what you need and you need to put the Legendary on your team

Your next task is to look for Origin Ore. They summon Lian who says you need to go to the Primeval Grotto where you'll find Origin Ore but when you get there, the Miss Fortune gang show up. Defeat them and Lian will get the Ore

Return to Laventon and he'll take you all back to Jubilife Village and Akari will create the Origin Ball.

When you go to leave, Cogita will be at the entrance who will wish you luck

Go to the Temple of Sinnoh and the three leaders will be there to support

When you go to Palkia/Dialga, it will change form to the Origin Forme and destroy the temple. Battle Palkia like the Nobles and when finished, you throw the Origin Ball to catch it. The celebrations will then begin and you will all leave.

When credits are done your Arc Phone will go off and say to Seek all Pokémon

You go to Cyllene's office and she asks for progress of the Pokédex. Laventon mentions the legends of Hisui and Volo appears to offer his help. He'll go to The Heights Camp

Volo will tell you the story of Arceus and mention the plates. He says the task should be to gather the plates. Go to the next area and you'll have to face an Alpha Vespiquen. Defeat it and you will get the Stone Plate. Volo will suggest going to see Cogita. She will give you the missions for each Legend

When you return to the village Kamado will meet you and suggest you go to Prelude Beach and challenge you to battle. Defeat him and he will give you the Fist Plate

At Lake Valor you will find Adaman. He will offer you a challenge to battle him. If you defeat him, you'll get the Adamant Crystal to change Dialga's form

At Pearl Settlement you will find Irida. She will offer you a challenge to battle her. If defeated, you'll get the Lustrous Globe to change Palkia's form

Catch all 3 and you'll get the Draco Plate

When at the Coastlands campe, Irida and Palina will stop you and tell you things are going wrong at Firespit Island and ask you to investigate

There's a task that matches the one stated in BDSP - This request is one that works around a story in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Put Buizel, Mantyke and Overqwil in your party and swim through the gate in the Coastlands at Evening. Go to the Seaside Hollow and Manaphy & Phione will be there and can be caught

Heatran is found in the middle of Fire Spit Island in the volcano. Defeat it for the Iron Plate

Cresselia can be found in Mt. Coronet, and Darkrai is found nearby at night

When you go to Cresselia, you'll find Melli and he'll ask you if you have heard of Cresselia. Melli will say Cresselia has appeared in the Moonview Arena and wants your help to remove her. She will do a task that confuses you and you need to throw a ball to get rid of her Aura. Catch Cresselia and you'll get the Dread Plate


Regigigas is in Snowpoint Temple. This time go to the basement and Adaman and Sabi will appear. If you have the Stone, Iron and Icicle plates, the door will react and open

Once all the plates you were told about are found, return to Cogita. She will ask for three bits of wood and will give you the Pixie Plate. Volo suggests going to the Celestic Ruins

Go to the Ruins and he will explain about the statue of Giratina. He says we must make for the peak of Mt Coronet. Go to the Temple and Volo will say there's no Giratina and will uncover that he wants to meet Arceus so sought out Giratina to enact his plan. He reveals he has the last plate and demands you hand them over so he can meet Arceus

Defeat him and Giratina will then appear. Defeat it and it will then change form and need to be defeated again. If you lose, you have to start over all again

Defeat Volo and he will ask what happened and asks if you have a dream. He'll then give you the Spooky Plate. Your Celestic Flute will then turn into the Azure Flute. After that, you will be able to summon Arceus, but only if you have all available Pokémon caught

Return to the village and you'll be greeted by Ress and Laventon who will say a shadow has appeared in Cobalt Coastlands and asks you to investigate

When you go to the Galaxy HQ, Cogita will arrive and apologise for the plan of Volo and then offer you tips about Tornadus, Thundurus and Landors

Enter Spring Path and you'll find Giratina in Turnback Cave and it will challenge you, and you can catch it

Thundurus is found roaming around the water, when spotted it'll send storms at you. Knock his protection with Mud Balls etc. and then throw a Pokémon to start a challenge. Tornadus is similar in the Icelands and Landorus in Ramanas Island. They are protected and throw tornadoes at you
