Serebii's Pokémon Legends: Z-A Discovery Thread

The new game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, is out next weekand as usual we will be covering the game in full as soon as we can.

Although it seems that a lot was revealed before launch through leaks and other such methods, this thread will have all the minor things I discover as playing through the game, which may not necessarily warrant posting directly on the site, though keep an eye there too as sections will be updated.

Be warned as this will, of course, contain spoilers

I'll try and provide updates every hour or so

Game starts with an issue at Prism Tower. Something watches as the strongest Mega Evolution user required. You then arrive in the station with something hiding in your bag

After you arrive, Urbain/Taunie ask for you to help record a video before Jett interrupts on screen. After JEtt talks, a Pancham steals your bag

Chase after and you have to battle, this is where you pick your part. Win and you will get the Pokémon. It turns to night and a Battle Zone activates but you get tsken to the hotel but get challenged along the way. FLoette appears and scares the others off and you get to the Hotel and get introduced to AZ. The Zygarde Cell then leaves your bag

Go to the room to have a rest for the day but Taunie shows you the panorama of the city. AZ notes that you were brought here for a reason as the city needs you

The next day you get invited into the Z-A Royale and learn the basics from Taunie. You meet Lida for the first time too. You then battle Taunie who has the other two starters

Go to WIld Zone 1 and start catching Pokémon. Catch 5 species and go to the Research Lab. Get Research tasks. Finish all for SHiny Charm

Leave and you will meet Naveen who gives you a hat. With Rock Smash, destroy boulders everywhere and return to the hotel for mission complete

You will then learn about your next promotion match and have to participate in the Z-A Royale. Finish it to battle Zach

You are then introduced to Emma who says she hasn't had luck in finding who Taunie is looking for

If your Poké Balls miss, a man by some Pokémon Centers will collect them for you

When outside you meet Tarragon of Racine Construction who will inform you of construction work and colourful screwes. Then follow Taunie to Prism Tower

Get there and you will meet Vinnie who apologises for the state of the city. Then you go to the Looker Bureau with Taunie

Head there and you will meet Ivor of the FIsts of Justice who want to abolish Wild Zones and you have to face off against one of them

Go to the Looker Bureau and Emma will ask for your help with some side missions. Finish three and return to Emma and she will tell you about mega Evolution and challenge you to a battle

Shiny Sparkles and noise are here!

A shiny sparkle is persistent beyond the initial bit

The next Promotion Match gets decided for you against Yvnne.Next Mission is to get to Rank X

Return the hotel and Lida asks about you and convinces Naveen to battle you. After that your next promotion match gets updated

Beat Xavi and your next task is to reach Rank V but first you need to find Lida to return her belongings and she will battle you

You can pass time by sitting on benches, it'll push the time to night

At some point, Mable will call for a side quest. Go there and she'll let you pick your Kanto Starter Pokémon

Spewpa mission in museum, get a Spewpa at the end that evolves into a different form of Vivillon

When defeated, when you go outside Emma calls and says she has heard th Pokémon is near you...it's Zygarde. Chase it and it leads you to a Rogue Mega Absol. AZ gives youa Mega Ring and lends you his Lucario for the battle. Defeat it for the Absol and Absolite

Taunie says Vinnie has requested you to go see Jett after clearing the Rogue Mega but Taunie wants to see you use Mega Evolution first. She uses Mega Manectric

Alpha Pokémon drop Seeds of Mastery which can power up Plus Moves

Go to the building and face off against Dedenne guards. After that Vinnie will come out and say to go to the battle court

He will congratulate you for dealing wuith the Rogue Megas. You then have to battle Vinnie for your Promotion Match which will promote you to Rank F

Reach the Challenger Ticket requirements to challenge him to see if you're worthy of helping. He uses Mega Drampa

After talking with Vinnie who asks for your help, he will explain how things sarted two years ago. After Jett appears, he will leave and you go to the hotel. However, beforehand you get invited over to the Mega Shard exchange to be able to exchange Mega Shards for Mega Stones and Exp. Candy

Go to Noveau Café with Taunie but Naveen is there and wants some alone time. He will say eventually you have to face Canari, a streamer who he admires. Vinnie then calls about a Rogue Mega Evolution energy report so you all head back to the Hotel to discusss

Oh and in case anybody wonders, it's the standard IV and EV system in this game

The tasks are to do a Mega SLowbro with Taunie, a Mega Camerupt with Lida and a Mega Victreebel with Naveen. Defeat them to get their Mega Stone

Go to Camerupt and you'll need to beat construction workers to get through

Beat all three and return to the hotel and Zygarde will battle you Level 33

Defeat it and you will get a pebble. A mysterious man called L (Lysandre) appears and say Zygarde is appearing because something is messing with the order and asks if you're able to be strong enough to help. Zygarde will leave and L will soon leave saying AZ will soon face his sins.

You will end up facing against Canari for the next promotion match. Naveen isn't happy and agrees to help you find her if you defeat him in a battle
