Serena Catches Her First Pokémon!? Pancham VS Fennekin!!

Heading towards Coumarine City, Ash & Co. get invited to a watch a special tournament by Shauna. There, Serena sees Aria perform live in person and gets a lot of inspiration. However, when the main tournament begins, a wild Pancham gets in and starts causing havoc and making a mess. After the tournament, Ash & co. bump into Pancham where it steals Ash's hat and Clemont's glasses. While everyone is angry, Serena realises that it just acts out because it loves performing and decides to try to convince it to join her on her journey. Will she manage to capture it?

Sick of dealing with idiots.
The episode starts with Ash and co. in some town.

Some of the groups Pokemon are out and then Shauna runs up to them.

She has her Bulbasaur with her.

Ash and co. (including Shauna) are inside a building, waiting to watch a performance.

Team Rocket is also in the audience watching and they have disguises on.

Some man with a top hat has a Klefki with him, or a Klefki looking staff/microphone.

Aria and her Braixen then take the stage to give the audience a performance.

A woman then performs on the stage with her Dandy Trim Furfrou.

A Pancham then interrupts the performance by dancing on the stage and bringing down a stage light.

The Pancham then runs off.

After the performances, Ash and co. are outside and Shauna runs off, with Bulbasaur soon following her.

Chespin tries to act like Braixen, by twirling around a stick, similar to how Braixen twirled it's stick.

Ash and co. then notice the same Pancham on top of a building, mocking them.

Chespin chases the Pancham into the woods and soon afterwards, the Pancham steal Ash's hat.

Pancham then steals Clemont's glasses, causing him to have bad vision.

Serena and her Fennekin find the mischievous Pancham.

They discover that Pancham has a file of stolen items, just like Ash's hat and Clemont's glasses.

Serena picks up Ash's hat and Clemont's glasses.

Pancham is now lying on a clear field of grass, before Ash, Clemont and Bonnie go over to him.

Serena then arrives at the same field as Ash, Clemont, Bonnie and Pancham.

Dare Da? Braixen.

Serena gives Ash's hat back to Ash and Clemon't glasses back to Clemont.

Pancham starts to walk away, but Serena then asks if Pancham to battle her Fennekin.

Fennekin and Pancham then start to battle, but Fennekin then gets captured in a net.

Team Rocket have captured Serena's Fennekin.

Team Rocket then do their motto.

Jessie has some sort of fantasy about a Braixen.

I think she wants to train Fennekin to evolve and perform like Aria's Braixen.

As Team Rocket try to take off, Ash brings out his Fletchinder.

Jessie brings out her Pumpkaboo and James brings out his Inkay.

Pancham uses Stone Edge/Rock Tomb on Team Rocket, but I think it's Stone Edge.

Pancham also uses Dark Pulse.

Chespin uses Pin Missle and Pancham uses Dark Pulse again.

Team Rocket blast off.

As the sun sets, Serena battles Pancham with her Fennekin.

Serena tries to capture Pancham, but Pancham comes out of the Pokeball.

Serena's Fennekin battles Pancham some more and then she throws the Pokeball at Pancham again.

Serena captures Pancham and does a victory pose.

The others are happy that Serena has captured her first Pokemon.

Fennekin and Pancham jump in the air next to Serena.

The episode start with Fennekin being groomed.

Chespin goes out of the pokeball and wants to be groomed.

Shauna appears.

Shauna teels to the gang there's aTriPokalon compettion here

As expecred, Serena's eyecatch int he title.

We are entering a TriPokalon competition. The gang is watching.

The lights are opff. TR is also watching the competition

There's an announcer announcing the compettition. It has a Klefki-like Microphone.

Elle is going to appear.

The performance of Elle is actually spectacular.

Team Rocket has evil problems? and a Pancham appears?

Some with a Trimmien is appearing. It's not that spectacular compared to Elle.

Serena is being overjoyed. Japanese translator, take attention to Serena's dialogue.

And Chespin wants to perform.

That Yancham has a very bad atittude

Ash and Serena are separated. Pancham steal Ash's hat.

And now Clemont's glasses.

Pancham are trying to do a Pokeformance with Ash's hate and clemont's glasses.

And the list of stoledn objects is biug.

And Serena gives to him a red glasses.

Clemont and Bonnie are appearing now. They are reunited to Ash. And Clemont is having problems without the glasses.

And the rest of the gang (asnd Chespin) are very angry.

And Serena tries to get that pancham???

Dare da?

Blaziken/Teruunaa

And Serena wants to catch Pancham to do Pokemon performance. And wants to convince that Pancham. But Pancham refuses for now.

And now Pancham vs Fokko.

And Fokko is captured by Team Rocket.

Wobbuffet is missing fromt he Fokko, why?

And Jessie wants to be a pokemon performer.

Hinoyakoma wattacks TR balloon. And the ballooon pop up.

Now the randm attacks. it looks like a 100% Rock attack.

TR uses the Pokemon. pancham uses Dark Pulse to both opponents.

and Serena uses "Tackle" 8Not official) to save Fokko.

Fokko is free. And Yancham uses Dark Pulse.

Piakchu makes TR blast off.

Yancham vs Fokko.

Yancham uses Dark Pulse, a fighting move.
Fokko uses Hidden power, Flamethrower,

And Serena uses a PokeBall, but Yancham flies.

Fenenkin attacks again.
And Serena through a second Poke Ball.

And...

After 46 episodes Ash is catching a second Pokemon.

And Serena gives to yancham red glasses.

The Nrrator mentions Pokemon performer at the end.

Can I just say...that was the best capture I have seen in a while! When was the last time we saw a capture like this?

Gotta admit, I really loved that battle at the end.

Serena, you go girl!

i was right, the cowboy girl seems to have a different nam - correct me if i'm wrong, what i heard is something like kaori

anyway the episode was indeed good, yup no hints for the amour there but at least bonus for serena herself

- looks like her goal is really to become a pkmn performer

how i find it surprising that the capturing fails on first try, same when satoshi catches yayakoma

is this coincidence :/

marina inoue - that's a popular va , i even never miss any shows involving her

but being elle's voice, looks kinda unlikely to me a bit

Where have I seen this before? Sunglasses AND stealing Ash's hat? What is this, some crazy amalgamation of Aipom, Squirtle and Krokorok?

Oh well, at least it's a Pokemon that hasn't ended up with Ash. (Oh wait Pancham trade to Ash?! Just kidding!)

Big surprise, they're rehashing Jesselina although maybe they'll give her a different name. On a more positive note at least she'll have something to do other than blast off which is a nice balance.

come to think of it, this probably is the first serena focus episode that doesn't contain any hints probably its because more of tackling about the motivation to serena herself and also probably they want to emphasize how will she do on her own

she was only there to see elle's performance, so sad she left after that and never appear again

- aw i thought she is going to be in the entire episde but it really looks unlikely based form the clips we saw before this episode airs

So I'm guessing that Pancham's confirmed moves are Dark Pulse, Stone Edge (with new animation), & either Karate Chop or Arm Thrust right?

What was actually said in the episode? (I only want the key parts for now)

There's actually new details of the Pokemon performer goal in this episode that weren't told in episode 40?

Well my japanese isn't that good, but the gist was that Serena also decided to be a 'Pokemon Performer' and wants to become the next 'Kalos Queen'.

As for new details regarding 'Pokemon Performer', i don't think there was anything mentioned like that.

The only thing that was mentioned was that the 1st round is a Free-Style round for beginner level. Point to note is that the event was interrupted because of Pancham, and i think it was either delayed or cancelled because of it. So, not much info could be known about it.

Personally, I thought the new ending and the upcoming Tripokalon training episode pretty much confirmed that already
