i was just playing my pokemon Emerald and i was working with my parner in the Battle Fountier or whatever you call it and my partner had a Sunflora and in my frist battle it was a Boy and then in the next battle it was girl?!?!
What is with that

weird.............. are you sure your not in the battle factory and exchange ur sunflora with another sunflora so the sunflora u got was a female?

gender (and other hidden values) of rental pokemon is not set. this goes for the double-battle pokes that other trainers use.

the only true sex change in pokemon is that 1/3 of all female azurill become male when they evolve into marril.

Or...you could have two of that Apprentice, one with a male Sunflora and one with a female Sunflora.

its just the thing in the game. Like whitewizard said. The values for the gender isn't set unless you are looking at a starter which has a higher chance of being a boy. It just a thing in the game, they must have forgotten about.

Male: betetr with atk, and special atk

Female: better in def, spec def

so then looking for a certain gender is really useful

Maybe she had two Sunfloras and in the second battle she decided to use the male.

Sounds like the glitch with Zook's Zangoose in XD, where it can be male when Ardos fights him, female when he fights Biden, and male again when you fight him.....

It's not a glitch. It's happened to me as well.

My partner had a Sandslash who was male. Then in the next round it became female! Then it went back to a male the next few rounds after that. Stats and nature were exactly the same though (I think).

any pokemon can get a sex change, just press up, down, left, right, A, B. then u can get a sex change at the pokemon center (J/K).

I hate having a apprentice because they are retarded, but Im sure its a glitch or something.

Its happened to me too, plenty of times. Its just something in the game. Its no glitch. I checked, their stats & natures were the exact same.
