OK, here goes my second attempt at a fic.
In the beginning, there was no shadow above the three regions. Pokemon lived in harmony, and trainers felt determination, and not any worry. But some unique individuals sought power above others. Together, they made a criminal group called Cipher. Cipher’s goal was to remove all uniqueness, all free will from Pokemon, and to use them like puppets. The first time they were destroyed, by two young people called Wes and Rui, and once again, happiness came. But Cipher still existed, lurking in the shadows. Three men brought it back, five years after the downfall of Evice, the Cipher leader. One was called Grevill, the new Grand Master of Cipher. He had two assistants. Ardos, and Eldes. They may have well been shadow Pokemon, as they were puppets, and Greevil could control them. However, some very strong shadow Pokemon where fighting the shadowy aura that surrounded their hearts. One of them was Eldes’ Marowak, which he thought was fully in his control.
Chapter 1~
I'll take my own life
Marowak Speaks
“Marowak, use shadow end!”
no said a small voice inside my head, it is wrong to use such moves.
But I could not disobey him, he was my master, and I was to forever follow his orders.
“Marowak, what are you waiting for?!” spoke the man who called himself Eldes. I spoke the words that gave me the power. I was barely aware of myself running towards the Dewgong. The Dewgong went sprawled across the floor, but got up, yet it was badly injured. Suddenly I felt an invisible force hit my chest, draining my energy. Yet Eldes did not notice.
“Marowak, shadow end, one more time!” I half-resisted that time, and fought to hear what I was saying.
Give me your soul,
Or I will take it.
Hatred is my power,
Love is yours.
Release my power on you,
And I’ll take my own life
Fighting for consciousness, I ran at the Dewgong and hammered it with my bone. But, before I hit it, the other trainer shouted,
“Now, Dewgong, Endure!” Dewgong let out a feeble yelp of pain, but righted itself, its eyes barely open. But, as the move said, I took my own life. I saw the world going black, and with the last of my strength, I swore to hate my owner, the man who called himself Eldes.
This was not a ordinary shadow pokemon. For the others I had faced, I could feel their shadowy aura in my heart. This Marowak was not like that. I could feel it's aura, yes, but it seemed to be mixed with something else, a slight pureness. The Marowak's eyes were not blank, like other shadow pokemon. Life still blazed inside it, and I could tell that it was trying to escape it's purple cage.
"Marowak, use shadow end!" said the red-haired man. The Marowak hesitated, as if it were deciding if it really wanted to use shadow end.
"Marowak, what are you waiting for!?" I could hardly keep myself from using sheer cold on that red-haired man. But, the man's words confirmed the Marowak's desition. It spoke a jumble of words that I could not make out, and ran at me. I was to slow to make a move, and the Marowak's bone whacked my across my face. I was sent sprawling, and a trail of blood ran from my nose onto the floor. Silent tears rippled down the side of the Marowak's head, yet the red-haired man did not notice. I was too stunned to make a move, but my trainer was saying something about surf and ground types. Seeing an opportunity, the red haired man commanded a shadow end again, and this time I saw a flicker of hope in the Marowak's eyes, and it spoke the words again, but slowly, and I could understand. To a human, it would be repeating it's name over and over, but pokemon had a seperate language.
Give me your soul,
Or I will take it.
Hatred is my power,
Love is yours.
Release my power on you,
And I’ll take my own life
When it finished the poem, it ran at me again. But I was ready, and when my trainer yelled,
"Now, Dewgong, endure," I closed my eyes and braced myself, and when the bone hit me, I felt like I was about to lose consiousness, but hung on. However, before the Marowak fainted, I felt a rush of hatred towards the cruel man controlling the Marowak. I had a feeling that the Marowak was feeling the same thing. Then, the Marowak closed it's eyes, and fainted.
