This goes for d/p and the wii game too......
I'm new to this community but I have a feeling most of you will be strongly against sharking, I used to train up pokemon all day every day a few years ago and when I tried to battle with them I lost horribly....This is when I decided I needed a gameshark to assist me not to make illegal stats but just to get to level 100 faster, In the beginning the only thing I would shark were rare candies but soon after I got more into it and sharked a desired pokemon to assist me in quick ev training. I stuck with the sharking and at some point I found pokemon maker....I used this and it launched my pokemon battling career! With the help of pokemon maker [making a team in an hour instead of training for a month to make a team] and netbattle [testing my ideas against other people] I became a pretty good battler.
I met up with a real life group to test my skills once again and things were much different, I had a team of level 100s and easily beat them all mostly because they were some of the worst battlers on Earth [they couldn't even figure out ways to beat Blissey]. I brought new pokemon to my ''battle group''
such as Blissey and Swampert, Soon after some of them became 'decent' battlers while one other usually gave me a good fight because he knew a bit about nb/smogon.
The point of this is, I really recommend you use AR no matter how dirty it might make you feel. Without it chances are you will not win any battles against experienced players [myself included]....The metagame of DP will most likely be deeper and much more complex than RSE meaning people will be finding more popular sets and counters for these will be made just as fast.
On netbattke people change their teams very frequently to counter new movesets or just for a casual test.
Here's a quick example....Please follow along.
In the beginning of FRLG Blissey was the main special defender making a very popular special attacker [Gengar] useless, But a guy named McGraw thought up a subpunching set to counter Blissey because it's only attack at the time was seismic toss meaning it couldn't touch Gengar. Ice beam became the move most used to hurt actually touch Gengar and break it's substitutes.
Before this happened Gengar would set up a sub against Blissey and usually ruin the whole team.
Now this is where I really need you to follow along because I'm going to break the rules here, We are going to play a game of pretend now. ""PRETEND"" that there was no TM for the move ice beam [please don't be dumb and say you would give bliss flamethrower, ice beam is the needed move] So you have a level 100 Blissey without ice beam and 80% of the people on the dp online system are easily beating you with Gengar, You want that ice beam on Bliss right? The only way you can get it is by breeding ice beam on a brand new Chansey and training it all the way up to 100, This will take alot of time.......
Sometimes whole teams have to be rebuilt because a new moveset on a certain pokemon is so gamebreaking.
This is why sharking is so important, There is no way you can keep up with great/serious battlers who shark to save time if you don't. I highly doubt there will be a much faster system for leveling up and even if there is, It will still take too long. Maybe there will be different rooms so one can be for serious battlers who will most likely shark and others could be for guys who just play the game for fun.
[[[Nintendo might attempt to put safeguards up to block sharkers but I doubt this will be an issue since the AR for DS is already available. And the code crackers are usually effeciant in cracking these games. Keep in mind a good sharker will always shark legitimatly, Only an idiot would give 255evs in every stat or attempt to make 999 stats and they would be caught because colosseum/XD can block that, DVs are a different topic and I won't get into it right now because there are alot of details but usually they don't have to be maxed, If you want to be a very honest sharker you can hit the ''random ivs button on pokemon maker and stick with the 1st thing it puts out.]]]
I know alot of people might not like this idea but I'm a very serious battler and I'm just expressing my thoughts. Keep this discussion clean and mature and please don't bash me if you disagree.
