This goes for d/p and the wii game too......

I'm new to this community but I have a feeling most of you will be strongly against sharking, I used to train up pokemon all day every day a few years ago and when I tried to battle with them I lost horribly....This is when I decided I needed a gameshark to assist me not to make illegal stats but just to get to level 100 faster, In the beginning the only thing I would shark were rare candies but soon after I got more into it and sharked a desired pokemon to assist me in quick ev training. I stuck with the sharking and at some point I found pokemon maker....I used this and it launched my pokemon battling career! With the help of pokemon maker [making a team in an hour instead of training for a month to make a team] and netbattle [testing my ideas against other people] I became a pretty good battler.

I met up with a real life group to test my skills once again and things were much different, I had a team of level 100s and easily beat them all mostly because they were some of the worst battlers on Earth [they couldn't even figure out ways to beat Blissey]. I brought new pokemon to my ''battle group''
such as Blissey and Swampert, Soon after some of them became 'decent' battlers while one other usually gave me a good fight because he knew a bit about nb/smogon.

The point of this is, I really recommend you use AR no matter how dirty it might make you feel. Without it chances are you will not win any battles against experienced players [myself included]....The metagame of DP will most likely be deeper and much more complex than RSE meaning people will be finding more popular sets and counters for these will be made just as fast.
On netbattke people change their teams very frequently to counter new movesets or just for a casual test.

Here's a quick example....Please follow along.

In the beginning of FRLG Blissey was the main special defender making a very popular special attacker [Gengar] useless, But a guy named McGraw thought up a subpunching set to counter Blissey because it's only attack at the time was seismic toss meaning it couldn't touch Gengar. Ice beam became the move most used to hurt actually touch Gengar and break it's substitutes.
Before this happened Gengar would set up a sub against Blissey and usually ruin the whole team.
Now this is where I really need you to follow along because I'm going to break the rules here, We are going to play a game of pretend now. ""PRETEND"" that there was no TM for the move ice beam [please don't be dumb and say you would give bliss flamethrower, ice beam is the needed move] So you have a level 100 Blissey without ice beam and 80% of the people on the dp online system are easily beating you with Gengar, You want that ice beam on Bliss right? The only way you can get it is by breeding ice beam on a brand new Chansey and training it all the way up to 100, This will take alot of time.......
Sometimes whole teams have to be rebuilt because a new moveset on a certain pokemon is so gamebreaking.

This is why sharking is so important, There is no way you can keep up with great/serious battlers who shark to save time if you don't. I highly doubt there will be a much faster system for leveling up and even if there is, It will still take too long. Maybe there will be different rooms so one can be for serious battlers who will most likely shark and others could be for guys who just play the game for fun.

[[[Nintendo might attempt to put safeguards up to block sharkers but I doubt this will be an issue since the AR for DS is already available. And the code crackers are usually effeciant in cracking these games. Keep in mind a good sharker will always shark legitimatly, Only an idiot would give 255evs in every stat or attempt to make 999 stats and they would be caught because colosseum/XD can block that, DVs are a different topic and I won't get into it right now because there are alot of details but usually they don't have to be maxed, If you want to be a very honest sharker you can hit the ''random ivs button on pokemon maker and stick with the 1st thing it puts out.]]]

I know alot of people might not like this idea but I'm a very serious battler and I'm just expressing my thoughts. Keep this discussion clean and mature and please don't bash me if you disagree.

you cant use shark and legitimat in the same sentance.

Honestly though for every "legitimate" sharker there are thousands of ******* ones. Id rather them all be blocked frankly. I paid money for the game, I played it the way it was ment to be played, so im not getting cheated out of fun because some one was to lazy to even play a video game without cutting corners, having an advantage they really shouldnt have. Crap like that ruind PSO till it was unplayable

play the game offline any way you want, but if you come online with your cheat devices then, sorry to be rude, but screw you.

But you feel no satisfaction from the level 100 do you? The only thing I think hacking is okay for is restricted pokemon.

I fell hacking to level 100 is a bit behind 255 in every stat on the road of cheating but on the same road it still is.

Many people don’t seem to realize that you can hack Pokémon with legitimate stats, just that most people choose not too... Many people also don’t seem to realize that Netbattle is virtually the same thing as hacking since it takes zero effort to get a “perfect” Pokémon. I have a feeling Netbattlers are still going to keep to the Netbattle program as I doubt most of them have ever tried truly raising the Pokémon they use...

However, there is no true Action Replay or Gameshark or anything for the DS yet (the DS AR can only transfer DS saves, but you can then hex edit the saves manually), so most amateur sharking attempts will be cut short. Just as with Animal Crossing, there will still be hackers who use other methods though.

This kind of talk is generally frowned upon here, so don’t expect many supporters...

i understand you can get normal stats, but its still cheating, cause you arnt even playing the game.

and the netbattle analogy doesnt even work here. netbattle is an online fan community thing thats about battleing only, and on top of that isnt an actual pokemon game.

Ok and the online ds system will be for BATTLING only right......

If you want to spend a month training a team that will be crushed go ahead, And every good battler will use all level 100's don't expect to see two 100s and 4 level 70s.

I remember someone said the DS ar will have no codes, If I read that right.....
Well I found this. Advertisment from some site......

Take control of even the toughest games and show 'em who's boss! Even the odds by arming yourself with infinite health, bullets and time. Unlock secret levels, characters and vehicles. Now YOU can even become all-powerful and beat ANY game! Action Replay MAX is already loaded with totally unauthorized cheats and powersaves for all the latest and greatest DS and GBA games and you can easily update it with new codes. So what are you waiting for? Action Replay MAX contains everything you need to put the power in your hands today!

Time will tell.
I used GShark/AR in the past, but now I've refrained from it. Though, it did get me multiple L100s, now I've got 4 true L100s... as well as a few in the upper levels.

I can't say I'm against or for these devices, yes, cheating is cheating, and playing fairly is fair. Uncatchable pokemon, I believe are perfect to shark for as well as not in game legendaries that you'll likely never get. My point sort of doesn't split out, it stays in the middle. I really don't think I'll be swayed.

Hmm upon further research I can't find any codes for the DS action replay....If this doesn't make codes for the games......Is there any other way to actually shark or is a product being made to do this?

The Action Replay for DS is only used for DS saves and GBA cheats.

I am 100% against cheating devices, and I hope Nintendo does something to block them. People could still hack their GBA games and then trade the Pokemon to D/P, so Nintendo should check for Pokemon you are using that have been obtained and/or altered by AR or GS. I don't even cheat for unobtainable legendaries, and I think it is unfair for people that worked hard to train a team to level 100 and EV train its stats, choosing the best moves and items for it to go up against someone who didn't play fairly. Not to mention you're not even supposed to be talking about cheating devices here.

OMG Not This Topic Again......Black Leather Jacket does have a Pointabout what he was saying..Im doing it quit myself but n/e ways you all sound like babies My GOD its just a Freakin Game ,and you wont waste money by buying it .if someone beats you O Freakin well just a game youl have fun eather way..so just grown up ans top acting like a Bunch of jerks if the guy wants to do it he is free to do it.........so basically there is no point in calling him a cheater its not like any of you havent never done it.Just remember youll always have fun no matter what i know I will have my fun with it regardless.;munchlax;

see you all on wifi 1 day cross your heart not to come across me on it;)

So basically you need a gameshark because you arent good enough to win without one. That just says you arent any good, not that the world needs to follow your example. A gameshark is called a cheat cartridge for a reason. It expands the stats and such in a battle beyond the frame intended in the game. If you can't win within the frame given, that's your problem. I think it's ridiculous to imply you need a cheat cartridge to win a battle.
