You all know that if a sableye uses skill swap on a shedinja or shedinja uses skill swap on a sableye the sableye gets impossible to damage directly. Unfortunately neither shedinja nor sableye can learn skill swap.

But i thought of something: Lets say a pokemon knowing skill swap uses that on a shedinja. Shedinja get KOed immidietly, you send out sableye and uses skill swap on it. The pokemon knowing skill swap gotten wonder guard, and then transfers it to sableye.

Does it work?

You could just use Porygon's trace, then all that will take it out would be a brick break or focus punch or other fighting move, which you can predict, and it has regular HP rather than just one, plus conversion (probably would still OHKO but yeah...).

Well, Porygon 2 would fare better. It's actually not that bad, with its Sp. Attack stat, and good defense. Slow as heck, though.

Wonder Guard isn't swapable. The only way this could work is if Sableye knew Trace, but Sableye doesn't know it and Trace only works if the Pokémon gets send in. Seeing as a Skill Swapped ability returns to normal when the Pokémon switches, that isn't possible.
And even if Sableye had Wonder Guard, he is still able to get hit by Foresight+Fighting move, any status condition and recoil damage. So Sableye still wouldn't be unbeatable.
Just stick with Porygon 2 and Trace.

It is a good idea but people will call you a cheater, as they do if you use a smeargle with lock on and sheer cold or wobbuffet

I didnt know it wasnt skillswapable. I thought the only problem was that neither sableye nor shedinja KNEW skill swap.

Well, Skeith, if you can do it without codes, it's not cheating, and I don't remember that specific rule being anywhere. Anyway, this is a great dea, it's stupid if Wonder Guard isn't Skill Swappable, coz that tactic isn't foolproof, you can just poison the Sabaleye.

Not really:

Turn 1
I send out Alakazam and shedinja.
Alakazam used Role Play and got Wonder Guard.
Shedinja fainted from some move of the opponents.
Go, Sableye!

Turn 2
Alakazam used skill swap on Sableye.

2 turn Combo only! :)​

Besides when you try to do that Kadabra and Sableye still can get pwned or Shedinja could just switch out.

That's what I was going to say. Not using codes? Not cheating. And basically, that's it. If you can do something in battle without using cheats and just doing what the programmers intended for, it's not cheating. But I don't think Skill Swap can swap Wonder Guard. I never tried it, but I read multiple posts from people saying it's not. Me will not argue.

Hmm... Intresting, I think so... maybe. But once they do that in double battle the opponent unless it's a noob will probably switch out or pwn you.

Well, i dont care if the sableye faints and i lose, but i have thought up a way to give sableye wonder guard! YAY!

Shedinja will just get statused anyway before it can get any serious damage done. Porygon2's decent SAtk could help a bit, I guess.
