Sheer Cold is REALLY annoying me.

I mean there is like no defence against it. At JAA yesterday I lost because two of my pokemon died to Sheer Cold and OHKOs. They really gotta remove those moves, and as an added bonus it always seems to hit.

Well, the fact about Sheer Cold is this.

Either you're lucky and it KOs the opponent or you're unlucky and you don't hit the opponent at all.

That's the thing with luck moves.

Glalie and Walrein and Kyogre know Sheer cold... And it's the best OHKO(and most annoying to most of you) because there's no immunity while the other OHKO's have one. And there's not much you can do about it except Sturdy, as Geodude said.

To help against those damned OHKO moves, send out something with Pressure and Protect. Cheap a** noobs, I feel your frustration...

There's one big nasty flaw in Sturdy:

There's not a single Sturdy pokemon available that can beat the likes of Lapras or Kyogre. Unless they are really crappy players.

Well...most Pokemon with Sturdy are vulnerable to Surf/Ice beam, which all Sheer Colders except Glalie and Articuno learn. And evasion/accuracy-based moves are looked down on almost as much.

The larger the level difference between pokemon, OHKO moves get more acurate if lv100 pokemon with sheer cold vs. lv29 (any pokemon) only moves like protect, fly, ect. would make it miss. That is how it goes.

You could always use Endure, aswell. You don't need a Pokémon with Sturdy.

good idea and then attach a speed up berry and use a move like reversal good against the most sheer cold users
