Shiny Pokemon?

I THINK i have one on on of my versions ( I think it's a Golbat on Gold, but not sure). How do people get so many? I only have that ONE. I am really interested on the one of a kind ones, like Groudon and Rayquaza. The version I play the most is Ruby, so that's why. And also, I don't have Gameshark or anything else...so...yeah. lol. ;384;

Well, it's luck. Most people get the one-of-a-kind shinies by saving in front of the and restarting when it's not shiny. Btw, shiny questions should go in the shiny topic.
