Should Ash catch another shiny Pokemon and should another main character catch a shiny?

I couldn't care less honestly. I mean, it's not as anyone ever acknowledged the fact that Noctowl was a different color. Infact, usually they seemed to be more concerned about using it as a tool than as something pretty to gawk at. And if it was in battle, the opponent would only care about killing the poor guy with giant iron snakes of death.
I'm more concerned with the personallity, battle style and attacks the pokémon has.
