Shiny Shadow/Aura Pokemon?

I have been wonder, is it possible to get a shiny shadow Pokemon in Colosseum/XD? Some people claim they do, but I have never seen one. So I have a few questions about it. When you see a shadow Pokemon, and it ends up being a shiny one, will it be shiny as a Shadow/Aura Pokemon or will it act all shadowy and not be shiny? I don't know it is just sort of confusing to me... Do you have to purify it before you are able to tell if it is shiny or not? I just want to know this so I am not so ignorant. :)

Yes, there are shiny Pokemon in Colosseum and XD, just like in every main game since their 'debut' in GSC. There doesn't seem to be any 'legit' videos of shiny Shadow Pokemon being caught though in Colo/XD that I can find, albeit there are of shiny Pokemon traded over to Colo/XD (there's one of a shiny Sudowoodo, but it appears a fake video to me due to a number of 'impossibilties' there). But if you were to look at this oldish dead thread you can find somewhere links by me to pictures of a shiny Pokemon from a 'Distant land' (if you can make out the words from the poor-quality picture that is...) - meaning it came from them Colo/XD games.

You can recongise shiny Pokemon even if they are shadow beforehand, as the colour change is still noticeable (despite their aura), and when they are sent out, orbs will surround the Pokemon as well, similar to how in the handheld games stars fly around. So you find out if it is shiny when you first encounter it (making SR'ing pausible). However I think there is an execption to this in Lugia - in that case you can only tell if it is shiny when you purify it.

That should answer it, so shall close.
