Should All Pokemon Evolve?

After the last new generation of pokemon arrives, would you like to have seen all pokemon have two evolutions? Or should some stay with none or one?

No. All Pokemon shouldn't evolve. Legendaries won't evolve Pokemon that have already evolved twice won't evolve. Pokemon that have evolved by stone won't evolve.

I don't think so.

It would be a bit lame if every pokemon was able to evolve. It's what makes certain pokemon (Farfetch'd) unique.

And as Rowan said, 90% of Pokemon are linked to evolution. I'm sure no-one would mind 10% of pokemon not evolving;)

They could have pre-evolutions like magby and elekid

Problem
Luvdisc and Mawile BETTER evolve some time in the future. those are the only pokemon i'm concerned with!

This has nothing to do with pre evolutions.

Yes it does, A pokemon having a pre-evolution counts as an evolution Elekid evolves into Electabuzz thats one evolution, Electabuzz evolves into Electivire thats two...

If you look at it this way, every new gen adds far more standalone pokemon then it does evolutions of previous standalone pokemon. They'd never catch up.

as far as the general idea of pokemon evolving, it is good because they gain massive increases in stats, but as it was said before, if every pokemon could evolve, then it wouldnt really be anything special anymore.

No.

There have to be bad Pokemon as well as good. Otherwise it would be unbalanced.

how would it make it unbalanced? having a Spinda evolve isnt gonna get in the way of a Lugia or Mewtwo....(at least i hope not) i think all Pokemon whould have at least a third evolution, now THAT will make it Balanced, especially with all these overpowered, overused Pokemon....BORING!!!!

I dream of a world where there are only two brackets, Uber and OU. So if an evolution is the only way to make a Pokemon competitive then I'm all for it.

Actually in D/P, not including legendaries, there were only 5 stand alone pokemon and 28 evolutions and pre evolutions of existing pokemon. Even including legendaries there are only 19 stand alones.
