Should I Buy

Sorry if Im not allowed to post something like this(I couldnt find any rules against it) but should I buy Crystal/Gold/Silver? If so which one and which starter would you recommend?

(Im clueless when it comes to the older games)

I personally think that G/S/C are the best games in the Pokemon series. Period.

So yes, you should buy.

As for which one...I'd get Crystal if you haven't played the games before since it's like Gold/Silver but much more.

I agree with muckers with getting Crystal. It has a more of a storyline, and you get to battle Eusine. Also for the first time- you can be a female player!

Crystal is great but you need a lot of luck catching all Legendary Dogs(or whatever you prefer to call them) with only one Master Ball and no trading. You'd need them to face Ho-oh.

Crystal is overal better with the introduction of the battle tower.

Get crystal,you can stilll catch Lugia and Ho-Oh later on in the game and you have the chance to get Suicune the traditionaly way instead of the part where u track down all 3 dogs and they flee right away

Crystal definitely. It feels much fresher than the other two, an although you'll miss out on Ampharos and Octillery, you can get many decent Pokemon. Animations, Female trainer, Suicune story all make this worth getting.

Cyndaquil's the easiest to use as well.

Thanks for the tips(Ive decided to buy) and Ive researched Feralatr and Typlosian a bit and Im not sure which one I want. Im leaning towards Feraligatr because it has a good movepool.

Get a crystal version and you will receave many benefits over the silver, and gold versions; such as animations, being a girl, and a bigger plot, its like getting emerald instead of ruby or saphire.

And toditle is the best starter.

The Crystal Version is the best! You either get to play as a boy or girl, there's a few more things that were added, there was a better storyline, Suicune is there, and the Battle Tower is at Olivine City.
You'll probably enjoy the Crystal Version more. ^^

Crystal version is alright. You get to face Suicune without it running away, and there's Buena's password. However, you need to get the Rainbow wing by catching all 3 dogs, and the legendary birds (Ho-oh and Lugia) are at lv 60, so they both don't have their signature moves.

IMO, go for Cyndaquil. It has good Sp. Atk.

I recommend getting a new Crystal for reasons already stated as well as an used Silver or Gold that is not over 3 years old. The Crystal is for main game play and the other one is so you can get more of the Pokemon as well as being able to clone which you are not able to do in Crystal. Finally get a new Red or Blue to help complete your pokedex. It serves the main function as the Gold or Silver but i said new because it is pretty hard to find a gently used one. You can locate Red or Blue in Wal-Mart. Do not get Yellow because part of the reason for the Red and Blue is the Kano starters which you can not get in Yellow. You can get Pikachu in G/S Johto however. ;025;

Last question(Ive decided to buy Crystal and Choose Totodile) where can you buy Crystal versians for a reasonable amount(im not buying from any online sites because ive gotten to many fakes).

I'd get Crystal. Even though it's harder to catch Ho-Oh, it's cool to chase Suicune around and stuff. Plus, you can play as a female and battle Eusine. The special, colored sprite for Raikou, Entei, and Suicune are awesome looking too.

You should buy Gold,(that's the game I have) and start off with Totidile.

Crystal for the battle tower, as for a starter; pick anything, but chikorita is "harder" to start with.

Pick whatever you like, I think Crystal is the coolest though.

And if you don't like yer starter you can always ditch it.

Crystal is, in my opinion, the best overall. You can be a female player if you want, you can battle Eusine, and there's the Battle Tower... Salon Maiden Anabel isn't there, though.

Best starter? I'd say go for Cyndaquil. Or, if you want, you can do the, er *coughDuplicateTrickcough* to get all three starters. But Cyndaquil is a good choice, since it has a good movepool AND good Sp. ATK!
