Should i evolve my exeggute so soon??

I have just taken 4 days roughly to get a exeggute who is wonderfully outstanding in ability and has flawless sp.attack and aswell a modest nature. I looked at the IV calculator and it shows it having 31 IV's in all except sp.def, which is 29 IV. Now i want to EV train it in sp.attack and was wondering if i should evolve it straight away, as the above forms get more stats added, like plus 2 and 3 each level. Would this be faster getting those EV's??? I know i would miss out on those moves, but would it not be better to evolve it sooner than later??? How much of an impact would it have??

If I remember correctly, it makes no difference to the final stats of a pokemon as to when you evolve it, so I would wait until it has the moves you want.

I know you have your question answered, but I just wanted to point it out to you that the eggs would learn sleep powder at lvl37, with a better accuracy then hypnosis. If you evolve it into the coconut pokemon, it cant learn sleep powder. Also you might want sunnybeam on your exeggcutor so it might be good to wait for solarbeam, to save you a TM, unless your exeggcute already had those moves sleep powder, solarbeam, breeded into it, I have nothing to say.

Ok thanks, anyway i did not want hypnosis or sleep powder, i evolved it at 31to learn Egg Bomb instead, besides stun spore is ok, plus my leech seed is working really well. I am gonna use Exegutor in 2vs2, so another pokemon will have sunny day.

Well you just got yourself a great breed(I am pointing out the obvious). You would want the best special attack stat you can get. Since its for 2v2, speed would be fixed up with sunny day, and you might want to invest in the defences. It has real load of weaknesses though.

Well, it could've learned Egg Bomb via move tutor after it evolved at level 42 (Solarbeam level) if you really wanted to give it that. :s Though it won't learn Sleep Powder now.

it depends

If your looking to get all the pokemon, maybe you should. but if your looking to have a playmate, maybe you shouldn't

just one thing. if you evolve it, it may not learn all the good moves it can. like solarbeam.it's all up to you.
