Should I get a normal ds and then save for ACWW or should I go for sonic riders or something entirely different? The graphics on ACCWW dont look amazing but I hear it is a good game. I also need to find out if I can do WI-FI in new zeland and what I need to do so.

Whats so great about ACWW?
Anyways get a DS Lite(when it comes out) and mario cart, and if you can't wait for that then get the DS Mario Cart Bundle.

Just because you've already said a few times you dislike Animal Crossing doesn't mean he shouldn't get it -_-

Either get a DS Lite or a normal DS (DS Lite looks cooler, but it's not out yet), and get Animal Crossing.

Sonic Rush
Wi-Fi
Can pla GBA cartridges
Aniaml Crossing (haven't played it myself, but supposed to be one of the best games ever. Also online with Wi-Fi
And thats just some of the reasons. Trust me, its worth it. Pick up a cheap(ish) one off ebay. Seen some for almost as low as £40. Better than £100 any day. Even if its been used.

I dont have enough money for the ds lite, I am going to have to sell stuff just to get the game and ds.

Is Mario kart like other kart games? I have played a few (mainly old gen) and they did not really give the feel of speed.

Maybe a list of games I like would help you to help me.

I'd have to say a Nintendo DS.
The graphics aren't the best, but they are decent and when you're playing a game the graphics really don't hinder the experience.

As for the game to go with it, I'd recommend Animal Crossing: Wild World or Mario Kart. They're both great and yet completely different. AC doesn't require much skill, it's a relaxing game and there's always something to do. Also if you know anyone else with wi-fi and AC:WW then the experience is even better. Mario Kart is fun, it's much more like the traditional games (in comparison to Double Dash!!), it's easily the best MK imo.

Since you like so many Sonic games you could also try Sonic Rush. It's a good experience and one of my favorite Sonic titles to date. It maintains the traditional left scrolling while adding new concepts such as tricks & a combo of 2D/3D.

Wait for Sonic Riders, look at reviews, and then make your decision. It's always funny to see people say, "Don't get that, get this!" when one of the things hasn't even come out yet.
