should I sell my PSP to get a DS...

Lately I have been tempted to buy a nintendo DS. Because of all these good games out on it. I now sort of regret buying a PSP.

I really dont know though. I play it from time to time and have SOME decent games on it. But all these other "good" games on the DS. It has a better library than the PSP. So I really dont know. I think it would be a waste to just go and sell the PSP. Because it costed 250 dollars. I currently have 110 dollars left from my birthday.

So im not sure, what you guys think??

how much does a used PSP sell for?100 dollars less?if so you can sell the PSP for about 140 Dollars since it is a used one,and get a ds,and make profit

Better then you
Go for it. The DS does have better games. My brother has a PSP and I don't like it so much.

if you need a multi-media system (music, videos, photos, movies) then keep the PSP. If you are looking for more of a gaming system then get the DS. Personally I would have both but as it seems you dont have the money, think about what you need more. Games or all the other goodies.

EDIT: And those above posters are fanboys cause they have no support behind why they hate the PSP. thank you have a nice day

If you already have an MP3 player, a DVD player, and a PS2, then go for it.

The DS's library is just going to be getting even better and better in the upcoming months, and if by any chance you know anyone else that has a PSP, just play their's sometimes for any new games that come out after you sell it until the time comes when you have enough money to buy another.

Aww... Crap.
Well, you have $110, right? A DS lite costs $130, a used one is probably less (although, you'd probably have to settle for a normal DS, which used couldn't cost anymore than $100, and used games stores usually include games.) If Sony ever releases any worthwhile PSP games, you'd be aggravated that you sold yours. But then again, the only game I see thats anygood that not already out is Loco Roco. I'd wait to sell your PSP after you play that, it looks like it's holy super crazy awesome. I don't have a PSP, and I'm by no means a Sony fanboy, but ultamately, the choice is yours.

Well, I have a mate who got a PSP for his birthday. He got Ridge Racer and that's t. Mainly because it was too much money for his parent's to get him anything else. Since then, he's never bought another PSP game. He has also bought himself a DS and has Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Wario Ware Touched! and New Super Mario Bros. He plays these religiously, almost never putting the DS down. He was saving up for a DSLite until I mentioned that he may as well sell his PSP but he said he now uses it for films on long journeys.

IMO, get a DS and sell the PSP.

Right, before you decide what to do, what type of games do you like? If you like long Adventure/RPG type games as well as fighting, racing and other similar games, then you should stick with your PSP. Remember that there are a lot of games in development for it, so you should look at a list of games which are going to be released for it soon, and if you see more than 3 then I would sugest that you keep it.

If you like fun games which use very different ways of controlling and are great for pick up and play then you should get a DS. From the first post I am guessing that you have seen loads of games that you would like for the DS, but a lot of them get boring quite fast. I do own a Ds incase anyone is wondering, and no, I am not a sony fanboy, I am just trying to state all of the facts.

My honest opinion would be to try and get the money from somewhere else to get a DS, I mean, you must have seen games for your PSP that you like in order to buy it in the first place right? I am saying this because I am an RPG fan, of which there are not many on the DS but soon to be a few on the PSP.

I hope that you found this post useful.

If you sell the PSP online you will always get almost the same amount of money you paid for the damn thing.

Also - I think you should if you only have a few games. The PSP was a bad investment - hardly anyone I know who has one watches movies let alone play games - its mostly used an an MP3 Player.

Just about every DS Game I own so far are some of the best games for the system (exception of Pokémon Dash)

BTW, there are a ton of RPG's that are gonna be released for the DS this year...:D

Well, if you really feel that you do not want any games for it that you would like, then sell it. Oh, and do not go on the stories of what peoples friends are like. You may not be like them.

Me personally, I would keep it because I bought it. You may not like it now but does not mean that you wont in the future

I wouldn't suggest trading your PSP in but if you don't like it then go ahead. There's no point in keeping something you don't want. I have a DS and PSP and I like both a lot. I use my PSP mostly for media (music, videos, photos, internet) and the DS for its great games. You might regret trading your PSP in later.

I was in the same situation. I bought a DS for christmas (when it came out) there wasnt a whole lot of games so I traded it in for some credit towards a PSP, PSP had a bad library and there wasn't anything good coming in the near future so I traded that in for another DS. I had a good ol time with that and just recently I traded that in for a lite. So in short buy a DS. You'll feel bad about the money wasted on the PSP but its better for you to get some use out of it (by getting some money for it) then to wait for the trade in value to drop even more.

Btw a Used Regular DS is under $100.00, I haven't seen an Used Lites though.

Get the DS. Your probably going to be playing more than using the DVD, MP3 features of the PSP. I don't like the PSP either. Plus DS has Wi-Fi and assuming that your in a pokemon website youd like to play all the upcoming pokemon games. So get the DS

Allow me to say the smart thing. If you're gonna swap the PSP for the DS, DON'T turn in a PSP to GameStop or EB Games. You will get virtually nothing for it. Instead, sell it on eBay. Right now, PSPs are selling quite well on eBay and the ones who do sell them pretty much get most of the money they spent on it back.

Simply sell your PSP and whatever you have with it and use that money to buy yourself a DS/DS Lite.
