Should I use action replay

I really didn't like the idea of cheating in pokemon games but when coveted pokemon like celebi and mew never come stateside I feel tempted to cheat for them. I have a deoxys from the event at the pokemon HQ (now nintendo HQ) but I prefer not using ubers (I don't consider celebi uber, maybe mew). My question is, does AR harm your game file and would you reccomend me to use it. I also want to know does recieving a traded AR pokemon have the same affect as cheating for one in your game (because my friend has a couple of celebis and he said he will give me one if I wish).

don't use it... it's forbidden to talk bout them for good reason.... they void ur game and game system warranties.... saw too many things come back damaged when i worked for wally world electronics because of Ar and gs.
And the games and systems do have ways of loggin their use, so u wind up having to buy a whole new gba and game.

I think you should buy a new game, as for GBA, I don't think so.

Actually, a question like this is allowed, as long as we don't talk about how to use the device to cheat. As for Action Replay, I really don't think you'll die if you shark two Pokemon.

for the first part yes it does damage the game.
but for the second yes it also damages the game when you trade a cheated pokemon thats why I dont use them.

No, I wouldn't use it because it takes the fun out of the game and because no one would trade with you.

Using a device is a good and a bad thing. I'll give you both sides so you can decide for yourself.

A cheat device is something you have to try to fully understand. It's fun at first, but a (very short) while later it becomes boring, making your game dry, dead, flat, dull, stale,... and altering certain values ultimately may result in unexpected faults in the game.

You could get certain Pokemon that those Nintendo rascals "cunningly" removed, though. In this case, it's useful.

I have to admit that I have used them, but once you get to know that you really aren't doing anything you absolutely need, you sort of start playing the game normally again, without the help of cheat devices.

Many people who are a part of this online community know that people who use cheating devices to get results within the game ("cheaters") are actually weak trainers, without knowledge or dedication (to raise, battle, and to achieve) and most people realise that by cheating, you're... cheating.

So my point is, if you're curious, you could try this, but I know that you'll soon realise that it's pointless and stupid.

Lastly, as none of the above posters failed to mention, we don't discuss this here.
