Should I use an electric type?

Hi again.
I'm thinking of a new back-up for my Metagross and Salemence team.
Tehy are as follows...

Metagross @ Kings Rock (Choice Band as soon as I get enough battle points)
Nature: Adamant
Explosion
Sludge Bomb
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Attack Ev's 255
Deffence Ev's 127
Spcl Deffence Ev's 127

Salemence @ Leftoverers
Nature: Timid (LOL a timid Salamence)
Bite (needs replacing I would go with crunh but I evolved it to fast and it's for Lv. 50's)
Fire blast
Hydro Pump
Dragon Claw

Spcl. Attack 255 Ev's
Speed Ev's 255

My only real problem is water. That's not much of a problem as I can just EQ or Dragon Claw it. But Salemences Spcl. Deffence is really low (Damned IV's) and it falls easily to an Ice beam. Meteor Mash isn't very effective against water, and EQ obviously doesn't hit Water/Flying types. So I was thinking of getting an electric type as a back up. This probably isn't a good idea as mine usually aren't ;). Anyways please comment on wether this is a good idea or not. If it's not leave your ideas about what might be a good type and I'll go research it myself, and you could tell me if I've done a good job, and if it's not I'll try again. It doesn't need to really be fast 'cos for some odd reason Gross out runs most things (it's got an IV of 31 for speed) and Mence is obvious. So yes, please reply. Sanksoo in advance!

Use The Milotic as a switch in seeing as how Metagross' weakne fire wont realy hurt milotic and ice wont either but watch out for EQ

get an electric type, Ampharos is a good one
it has the defences to switch into your bulky water weak
and its Thunderbolt is sweet plus it can lay useful Thunderwaves
and if your up to it even FocusPunch..

The only thing with Ampharos is its speed. For an Electric type, it's very slow, and an Earthquake from even an average attack pogey will do him in.

yes, your salamence isn´t good, try the one that T+J said or the one that I´m using:

adamant @ choice band
double edge (rock slide if you don´t like the hurt effect)

Ampharos has the defences to take Earthquakes from the "Ingame Salamences" and HPIce OHKO, while Jolteon takes a huge dent from Surfs and quickly dies so outspeeding with it is really **** when it sucks at making OHKOs..

You could also get a psychic pokemon with an electric attack.

I also have one of those. My Alakazam:

Psychic
Future Sight
Recover
Shock Wave

But other electric attacks are good too.;249-d;

Mence is meant to be like that so it can counter Skarmory and fire types. I don't really want my team to be an over used one so, Starmie is a no go.
Jolteon or Ampharos? I son't want another Milotic really seeing as I've alredy got a Lv. 100 one.
