Should magikarp be tooken out of games?

seriously, magikarp has ****ing stats but theres no reason to take it out. No magikarp, no gyarados. Simple as that. It's funny too. here's a dumb, funny way to say it's name: Magikrap (Magi*crap) XDXDXD

As useless and silly Magikarp is, you can't take it out; there'd be no use for the beloved Old Rod LoL;. In a very weird, and ineffable way, magikarp is special to world of pokemon. I like Magikarp b/c they are amusing to run into the wild, but I hate battling against them b/c their experience point pay off is porbably the lowest of all pokes.
In conclusion, I can assure you that Magikarp will remain

Magikarp carries the story of the underdog that becomes someone that kicks butt. A sort of cinderella story, if you will, a fable, something like that. And taking a Pokemon out of existance would just be... wrong. Sure they could say "LAWL MAGIKARP EXTINCT" but it's just not right.
