Should 'Team Rocket' remain?

Pokemon Master
If the new games do not utilize Team Rocket wouldn't it be kind of pointless for TR to still appear in the anime?
I'd really like the TR story plot resolved, maybe ash taking on it and disbanding it or something?
TR is too big for just one person to disband it though, but anyways back on topic, if the new games don't utilize TR would it be safe to get rid of them?
I have to admit i never played G/S much but i don't think TR was as important in game as they were in Generation 1, so that is almst 3 generations without them being that important.

of course I don't mean getting rid of Jessie/James/Meowth, they're as important as Ash, but maybe they could have them Join "Team D/P baddies"

As members of TR they have already done a lot, have them as fake 'undercover' members again would be meh ;/ while them joining a new Team would add something new to them trying to impress new people, new stories they could work with and new ways to blast off again.

Yeah, ok!
Well R/S didn't have Team Rocket, yet they still remained in the show.

Jessie/James/Meowth will probably be here till the day the show ends, but I really do want to see Ash confront Giovanni, similar to the way the games handled it.

How long can the series go on with Ash still being oblivious to what Giovanni and the other Rockets are going?

Well, they've got good will power, that's for sure. I want them to stay, but not every episode, an appearance every know and then would be good, the same amount as Team Aqua/Magma is alright, sometimes they just take up time that could be used on a battle etc. If there's a filler that needs a villian, Team Rocket could be used. Of course, inclusion in movies is a must.

Meh, I think that they are getting passed their due. I think that Jesse James Meowth need a major overhall to their Pokemon team so as to provide Ash/May/Brock/whoever else more of a challenge or they should no longer be in every episode. They don't do much of anything differently, and it's getting kinda tiresome I think. If they don't really change, I think they should not be in every ep. I would like to see Ash take on Giovanni though.

They definatly need stronger pokemon. Even one would suffice, then they don't have to appear every episode. Let's get rid of 'We're Blasting Off agaaaaiiiinn!!" while we're at it.

RLY?

They should get rid of ALL main characters, with D/P saga starting REALLY from scratch, with brand new characters. Including old staff in some cameos, but no more. Pokemon needs refreshing, we have seen "blasting off again" for 10 years and that's enough.

Yeah they should remain, Team rocket is an important part of the anime. the whole crime syndicate is wound tightly into the anime and i don't think any new villains could ever sufficently replace them.
J,Jand M are main characters now and as the most developed they should be on it to the end. I think replacing the whole cast would be a mistake, its cool seeing others in cronicles but if new charaters were to come it would just be like power rangers and digimon and other sucky stuff

YES they should remain! Who else is going to wear stupid disguises and make bad puns every episode? Don't mess with a winning formula.

I remember a while back Joe saying that this season was the last, Pokemon is starting to die, in the anime at least.

i don't remember there being any officail report of it being the end and if there are going to be 10 movies then the series will have to continue for a lil bit longer

maybe the topic title was too ambiguous, J/J/M will never go away, they are starting to get tiresome? this is after 300+ episodes? its part of their gag, If we were in the 40th episode it'd make more sense to discuss that but i don't understand complainng about them after so many episodes... while I do agree it is sometimes annoying when they disrupt gym battles they make fillers better.

This topic is more about should they quit/get fired and join the new baddies from the new games, of ocourse their motto/fight/blast off ways will continue for years to come.

Pokemon ending? those rumors have been around since beggining of Johto, its not going to happen, unlike the US, shows can last for years and years and even decades (doraemon :D) and continue if they have a following and in Japan Pokemon has a big one.

But not them. I don't see anything they could do to be not plain boring. If Delibird would have appeared more often, that would be more interesting ;-)

But their "development" practically stopped at early Johto. They are "gag" part of show, but nothing more. Episodes where they are really "armed and dangerous" are very good, but the want Pokemon to be still gag comedy. Just without people laughing on the background.

Replacing Misty with May was good, as we see new beginning trainer, taking the contest. Now we have Pokemon Rangers, and i'm sure that D/P cast would include a Ranger, maybe beginning one? We won't get new "normal" trainer getting badges as long as Ash is part of the cast. Prolly he would win the Pyramid, and maybe some "top leader" of BF, like he did in Orange League... then go to DP region and still getting badges... Someone SHOULD be replaced, but who?

As for Power Rangers, first seasons was extremely crappy, while new series with new cast (the ones produced by Disney) are the best ones ever made. But the best of the best eps are teamups with cameos of old rangers... so the appearings of Butch&Cassidy ;-)

They really need to get around to disbanding TR (the organization) in the anime. It's happened twice now in the games, three times if you count FR/LG seperately...

Team Rocket should leave eventually, I wouldn't want to see the anime have Ash and the gang end their journey, and Team Rocket at the same time. Team Rocket should just give up on the same damn plot every episode.

Ash, Pikachu, and TR are pretty much here till the anime is over. There really isn't any point of replacing any of those 3 since we'll get the same exact characters in different forms. So they get rid of TR and than what replace them with a new characters that will.......try to catch the twerp's pokemon and try to catch the feature pokemon of the episode! You see my point? No use in replacing them because it would result in the same exact thing people are complaining about now.

I've thought about that as well, but what about boss fantasies? With a new team, those dang things might actually leave the show once and for all. We also don't know how other members of the organization may interact with the trio or what kind of leader they may possess.

Also for people saying how the trio can never possibly leave (or heck, any of the characters for that matter)...don't be so sure about that. Years are passing and their seiyuu's aren't getting younger. Sure they aren't super old now, but some of them are getting around their 40's and for medical problems popping up...that's pretty common. Eventually the writers may just start off from scratch if they don't like the idea of too many new guys taking over.
